Jax, Been waiting since Byron Leftwich was QB for something to happen..... Still waiting. I really though that nearly moment the other year against the Pats in the conference final game was the start of something. But noooooooooooo
Now that's another good win against a really good side. Really Lions only big defeat this season. Tough game against Jets but an outside chance of 9-8. That's real progress . Pederson a good coach.

Thoughts and prayers with Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

10 mins into the Monday night game at Cincinnati, Hamlin tackled a Bengals runner. He then stood up, wobbled a moment and then collapsed backwards onto the field. Bills medical personnel conducted 9 mins of CPR and defibrillator support until an ambulance came onto the field and took him and his family to a local hospital where he was in critical condition. A Fox Sports reporter on Twitter suggested that he had a pulse but couldn't breath by himself. No official statement as to his health has been made.

Amazingly, NFL gave the teams 5 mins to warm up before restarting but both head coaches disagreed, took their players back to the changing rooms and an hour later, NFL agreed to postpone the game until further notice.

It didn't seem that bad of a challenge at all, but I wonder if he swallowed his tongue. Not going to speculate too much, but he stood up and just immediately collapsed didn't he.

They gave him CPR for 9 mins I think.

🙏🤞

Checked on Twitter to see if there was any news, instead found all the anti-vax ghouls giddy with excitement. Fucking hell

Definitely. There’s so much money swilling round in it surely they could have an adequate retirement fund for young players retiring early through injury ?! Don’t the players/players unions have a decent say in the NFL ?
Quite a lot of an NFL squad are seen as entirely dispensable. Don't know if they'd still be there the following week as they could just be cut. Even the big names can just be traded to whoever the team likes at a moments notice and the player has to just up sticks and get on with it.

It's America. They value money over people and celebrity. So basically, look after the franchise/owners and the stars. Every one else doesn't matter.

It's where the cap system can fail. Most teams now have 50% plus of cap invested in 5 or 6 players. Certainly many overpay QBs in relation to their actual value.
Take running backs most don't see a 2nd contract. Few reach 30 years old and still playing. It's a position where you can pick up somebody decent enough every couple of years in the draft. Run him into the ground and then replace before having to pay him.

Divisional champs with no offense. That's decent progress. Give pederson another year to build up that offense and you're well set up.

Bengals have been nigh on perfect tonight.

One more score, TD or field goal and that's surely it.

Bills have had no answer.

Bills been over hyped this season. Made tough work of an easy schedule. Allen struggled, no run game and still struggled to get QB pressures since Miller first got injured.
Playing in those conditions game becomes a bit more of a lottery.
Bengals form team and will go into Kansas confident and aggressive against a possibly injury limited Mahomes.
No surprise Prescott choked. That's a talented Cowboys team with a good defense. Pollard injury a huge blow. 49ers looking strong but think Purdy (like Garropolo) won't be good enough to win SB. Shanahan a great coach.

Yeah, if Mahomes isn't fully fit, it's the Bengals all the way. Even with Mahomes Cincinnati have a great chance.

I do actually think the Eagles are a bit over hyped too. They definitely can be shut down I feel.

Would like the winner of the Bengals/Chiefs to go on and win it now..

Bengals are quality. Love Burrow. Dominated the game. Also got a great recent record against Chiefs, bit of a bogey team lately

Ps Stuck a tenner on 49’ers a while back at 8s. Can’t believe Purdy has taken them to the championship game ! Wow

Not sure i agree - they've been 13-1 when Jalen Hurts has been at QB. I think he will win season MVP. His all-round game is exceptional. Giants were pretty weak offensively, but the Birds defense demolished their QB's passing game.
The Linc is a pretty intimidating place to go, and 49ers will have one of the longest journeys to get there - but admittedly their run of 12 is impressive. I think Philly's offense will win through.
They'll probably wait until the Super Bowl to completely choke like the Phillies did in the World Series a few months ago!

Well, we will have to see. Washington did a real good job on them when Hurts played and they heavily restricted him .

The 49ers have a great defence, so time will tell. It will be fascinating for sure.

Looking forwards to the Chiefs Bengals game more to be honest.

I've been watching some of the US networks' previews and i didn't realise how good the SF defense has been (though they did lose to Dallas in the regular season, i think). They are particularly effective against rushing offense, which the Eagles rely on heavily (including Hurts himself), so it will be a case of irresistible force meets immovable object. Having said that, the 49ers don't get that many sacks.

Purdy is going to have a tough time against the #1 (by far) sacking defensive line in the NFL. I hope so, anyway!

49ers & Eagles probably best 2 balanced teams in NFC.
Eagles have 2 exceptional lines particularly O line which has been a massive impact on Hurts this season.
Purdy struggled against Cowboys and is going to have to improve a lot against Eagles. Maybe he's getting too much credit as he's "Mr Irrelevant" - if a 2nd/3rd pick would be getting judged a bit more harshly.
49ers defense has been excellent since they got their injured players back around GW5/6. Key battle could Ward vs AJ Brown.

AFC just think Bengals have great momentum and we've seen that a sub-100% Mahomes means Chiefs offense struggles. Chiefs WRs aren't great and Bengals corners palying well. Can Chiefs get to Burrow if Bengals still have holes in the O line?

Divisional Championships always best NFL day of the season.

KC haven't done too badly on the offensive stats - #1 on offensive yards, touchdowns and points - but it's all on passing, which is where Mahomes comes into his own. Rushing they are non-existent!

Disappointing that. Pleased for Philly but wanted a decent competitive game. 49ers were dreadful against a top team. Couldn't afford those penalties either. Looking forward to the next one more though.
