Anybody go? What was said?
Heard from people at the Bedworth Supporters Club with MR and Doug tonight that:
Doug said that he brought the last 15% as it come clear very quickly him and SISU working together wasn’t going to work
All new stadium plans on a bonfire (not that it was ever happening anyway) and staying at CBS is only option - Called SISU’s plans ‘Pie In The Sky’
MR said he’s not leaving off his own back until he’s managed us in the Prem
Perhaps the best news of the night. DK said he realised quickly he couldn’t work with them so bought their 15% stake.SISU have gone!

Bringing the training ground up to scratch more good news, Robins said needs to happen to help attract the better players.
Wonder if that will include buying back the Connexion making it fit for the 21st century and using it for what it was built for.
This 15% thing is baffling me. So presumably Doug could have bought SISU's shareholding at any time in the future, including a scenario where we get promoted to the Promised Land, thus destroying the argument that said SISU were holding the 15% so they could share in the spoils of life in the top tier.Perhaps the best news of the night. I can't see how this is relevant to the point I was trying to make. What was the point of SISU holding a minority shareholding if Doug could buy them out at any time? Presumably he would have done that if it looked like promotion was on the cards.15% would be a lot more expensive in the Premier League than it would now.

Didn't he say it was so he had somebody around who knew the club? He now appears to be saying that didn't work out so he bought the rest.

What's in it for SISU?Could it have been he held the 15% back incase the option to get hold of the stadium became a reality? Now that proved futile, he could then use what he held back to buy the remaining 15%?
This sounds more likely than other explanations.I assume at that point he didn’t have the funds
What's in it for SISU?

Nothing. We all presumed at the time that SISU wanted to keep 15%. Maybe it was simply because DK couldnt commit to buying 100% and going for the stadium.
Ideally we'd move from Ryton to a new purpose built facility where the first team, u23's and youth team can be housed on 1 site.Perhaps the best news of the night. DK said he realised quickly he couldn’t work with them so bought their 15% stake.

Ryton will be fine if it is updated and the Connexion is ours again, there’s the lodge too not sure how big that is.
If that Connexion building was properly modernised and brought into the 21st century it could be very impressive.
Who owns it now ?

Isn’t there a nice little place in Henley in Arden going spare offer the owner a few quid to clear off and sell Ryton for housing.
