Wilson 7 - nothing outstanding, nothing wrong.
Dabo 6.5 - an odd one, and hard to justify in many ways as he made some glaring comedy errors at times (controlling the ball off the pitch a particular classic!) but, even had a shot charged down, which showed he was getting up in support, and his positioning is ahead of Norton-Cuffy's at present.
McNally 6.5 - generally solid, but did make a couple of dubious passes, and also very leisurely once or twice that allowed their player to nick the ball. Does have the confidence to come forward however.
Doyle 8 - has improved as the season went on. Dominant, still occasionally looks a bit slow of thought.
Panzo 7 - maybe harsh. He didn't do anything wrong, but doesn't reassure me as much as Doyle, and does look a little lightweight. Up until halfway through the season, he and Doyle were much of a muchness. You can see why Doyle's moved ahead as the certain starter though but... did he actually do something wrong?!?
Wilson-Esbrand 6 - Another hard to mark. Good first half, but slept and let his man by him. Second half, picked up a booking and then had a couple of niggly fouls that looked like a red card waiting to happen. Was right to take him off, and maybe should have gone off earlier.
Eccles 6.5 - passing needs work, as does speed of thought again from time to time. Generally OK but...
Kelly 8 - Remember Dabo a few games back? Came back from imjury, had a stormer, then was dogshit for a few. I feared this for Kelly after his cameo but, he was excellent! First half was always in the right place, with good passing and good decisions. Second half faded a bit, but maybe unsurprising. The kind of performance Eccles should aspire to.
Hamer 9 - I'd argue he's up there with Godden as best finisher at the club. he stays calm, doesn't panic, look at how the ball came back to him, he steadied himself, and guided it into the right place. Even his one on one I'd put down to a good save. Superb driving runs, needs to sometimes play it simple, the drastic balls out of defence looking for people on the break sometimes saw it coming straight back to us and, while that's maybe a risk worth taking early on, less so later in the game maybe?
Godden 7 - mildly anonymous, but half the time he was in the right place but the ball didn't come to him from his strike partner. Great finish though and that helped win us the game so, he's done his job!
Gyokeres 8 - many will mark him down, but I thought he was excellent. Had the defence's number all game, created plenty of opportunities by being in the right place. Marked down for the shocking one on one attempt in particular. Also, it would be nice if he didn't try and spin his marker *every* time, and sometimes tried to lay it off nice and simple, like!
Subs 6 - not on long enough to influence things, Norton-Cuffy and Bidwell coming on were definitely the right decisions!
