This makes me cringe.

Doug is getting more like him too with things like that video :(
Feels like the fact that our owner decided to announce a season ticket price hike with a video that begins with him getting out of bed in his underwear should be a bigger story than it currently is among our fanbase imo.

Wow, you really miss the point don't you.

Do they have to all sit in the same stand?

To get the cheapest ticket as seen above, yes!

At 5 year old kid would pay £144 in their premium seats.

I get your point David, £144 is still less than £200-£300.

But then £480 is less than the £524 Watford charge in their middle blocks.

Not quite, Watford are charging 4 year olds £144 in their premium seats.

You are limited to certain areas, just not one large area like we are.

what is your fascination in comparing to other teams. Other teams haven’t been through the shit we have. Now we have some potential success the club are now charging extortionate prices for kids to sit in seats they have done for years

But people don't want to move to the North Stand, it's a ridiculous argument.
People like the match day experience where they are.
What can't you grasp about this?

Because that's nor the point people are making is it?

I keep hearing people saying about other clubs charging peanuts but not acknowledging that they too have certain areas cheaper than others.

It doesn't appear so at the moment. all that are on sale is the premier league packages.

To do they above you'd have to buy the premier package and then wait until 3pm on the 8th to buy the normal kids one

The thing is i dont think that is possible because you cant buy a child ST by itself. Im sure there will be a way to manage it but cant be unique soni was hoping someone else might have discussed with the ticket office already.

Because other people are trying to show off kids prices at the likes of Watford and Middlesbrough without acknowledging the important factor in where people sit.

I’m sure last season you could only buy a jsb with a adult season ticket. so unsure how so many managed to get season ticket with Jsb on its own

I know somone who had season tickets under their kids name and just bought a JSB.

Club latched on to it from what I gather and it was cancelled after Christmas.

At the other clubs? Really?

I’ve renewed… was a bit skint but I’ve had such great value over the last few years I feel ok about it. I’ve obviously not told the wife… but I’m not feeling bad because I never get to hear what her beauty regime costs…that way everyone is happy!!

I wonder if King thinks that reducing the balance of season tickets vs matchday tickets is something worth doing? Season tickets good to support cashflow but there is established consistent demand for overall about 18k average home tickets to be sold every week.

Overall, is there an argument to say that season tickets should make up a small part of that figure than they do currently?

After the backlash from people, he may offer more competitive prices.

However, he's made it clear he's a businessman afterall and isn't afraid of making tough decisions.

Unfortunately i am one of these that have no choice to move mine and my daughters seats to the North Stand. My renewal at the moment will be £700 but with changing seats it will be £350. Just a bit of a nightmare as i usually sit with friends but hey ho its off to Middlesbrough we go :)

massive risk to that. If we don’t go up, we could easily do a Huddersfield next season. That’s when you need bums on seats. cov are fickle fans, they wouldn’t turn up if we are mid table or lower

There is a risk but there is also a risk (as King has pointed out) that you effectively limit your earnings by punting cheap season tickets out.

The comment that one in four are £25 clearly shows the revenue from it is much lower than you’d assume

That's the point Doug has made clear though.

He hasn't priced anyone out of the ground but he's priced people (kids) out of premium areas.

Well all areas other than one

FFS, this last time I say this to you.

People shouldn't have to move and you saying "look how cheap it is" has fuck all to do with that

As I said last night you'd defend anything they did
