So if robins achieved that in the top flight?
Gordon Strachan managed to finish 5 points off the uefa Cup in 98 , is he better than Robins ?
So if robins achieved that in the top flight?
and here we gooo. Does this nonsense have to pollute every thread. Some posters have a bad obsession
I’d be interested to hear the justification for putting him on the list - his last game in charge was 70 years ago so not sure how many people on here saw his teams first hand…..What was our average xG/game back then?Just looked on Wiki, Storer?
In a word noout of curiosity who is the other one.
I don't know much about Milne was he any good?
If we get stats involved, Milne’s win % is matched/bettered by a few surprising names for the matter being discussed. He’s certainly well behind Robins.
I think Gordon Milne ranks above robins.
Why do you think robins is better?
My dad was and he doesn't agree with youWere you supporting the club when Milne was manager?
I think you're Grendel and I claim my £5.
That said....5th? Fucking hell! Some people are just never happy! G, not you. Obvs.
My dad was and he doesn't agree with you
Just for balance
Did you go when Cantwell was manager ?Hill
Cantwell
Sillett
Milne
robins
Were you supporting the club when Milne was manager?

He became manager at 34 - kept the club in the top division against impossible odds for 10 years and ask your dad if the 1977 78 season wasn’t the best the club had since the Hill era
Manager A - 34.4% win ratio, best league finish of 7th, worst league finish of 19th
Manager B - 33.3% win ratio, best league finish of 8th, worst league finish of 19th
Is one of these considered to be better than Robins? And if so, which one? Choose carefully!
Manager A is Gordon Milne
Manager B is Micky Adams
I was supporting the club when Dowie was manager. Another higher win % than Milne. This debate could be taken down some hilarious roads.
Gordon Strachan has a similar win ratio in the top flightI was supporting the club when Dowie was manager. Another higher win % than Milne. This debate could be taken down some hilarious roads.
But it didn’t last and we were soon scalping around at the bottom end, as yet Robins has not struggled in any of the three divisions he has been manager and he has changed his squad three times, bought players cheap and flogged them for a few million and turned Gyo from a million quid hopefully to a multi-million star.He became manager at 34 - kept the club in the top division against impossible odds for 10 years and ask your dad if the 1977 78 season wasn’t the best the club had since the Hill era
We don't need to argue
Don’t see how that’s relevant?

Agree with Cantwell being up thereHill
Cantwell
Sillett
Milne
robins
He'd be top three for me - he is now. We've done the whys before mind you.he's top 3 for you right ?
No it couldn’t - Dowie was rubbish and it’s embarrassing you’ve mentioned him and Milne frankly
My Grandad would always say about what a transformation he made to the team. I dunno, does history have to only be the history you've seen? That would have a small group of people rating Russell Slade as our second best manager of all time!I’d be interested to hear the justification for putting him on the list - his last game in charge was 70 years ago so not sure how many people on here saw his teams first hand…..What was our average xG/game back then?
It honestly could if it’s the route people decided to take. But you really need to cool your Bovril, you think one thing, I think another. It’s words on the Internet - though I think yours on this thread are complete bullshit just to gouge a reaction.
Robins perches nicely at the top.
Me? I can value it, but not want to diminish What Sillet did by deciding on arbitrary factors and differences. Is that so terrible? It's interesting to me how you don't value achievements outside the top flight...
For me he can't be any less than 2 .. 3 at an absolute push but I'd argue sillett FA cup triumph isn't as good as 3 promotions
