Luke Bolton would be worth a look as a right sided player. Very quick and probably now needs to step up leagues. Ex Man city that did really well on tour of US few years back.

We've already lost something like 6 or 7 in loans going back plus out of contract first teamers and that's without Vik and Gus or anyone else going, we need at least replacements for all of those

They all need replacing and with better players some will be loans i expect but it leaves six or seven permanents.

Not saying really we don't. I'm saying the more signings we look to make the chances of it going wrong increases which is why I've long been concerned about this window.

With more signings needed to be brought in the likelihood that they're not the club's primary targets increases, meaning the uncertainty around the signing subsequently increases as often consolidations have to be made. As it's pretty common for clubs of our stature not to get their first, second or even third choice targets in any given transfer window.

Which is generally as a rule of thumb why I think signing a huge number of players in one given window rarely comes off as there's only a finite amount of time a resource for managers and backroom teams to spend on bringing players in, meaning the risk/reward ratio gets ever more lopsided as more players are brought in.

Only 10 players have been released up until now. If it stays at that 10 + Gyok, I am comfortable with the numbers needed in my previous post. I would add that they would have to be first team quality players, not fringe players.

I think it's actually 12 if you include the loans returning to their parent clubs. Then when Gyokeres is sold that'll be 13.

Granted not all of those exiting the club will need to be replaced but we need 6-7 in the defence alone in order to fill gaps.

Not a fan of that transfer at all, think he is very overrated. QPR do have some decent players there though we could look at.

But you get six of them that fail for that you can get a player for the first team, being realistic Robins rarely uses them anyway they are like a separate team and players coming back from injury don’t seem to bother playing at that level anymore, not like years ago when reserve team were excellent.

Last time we signed 13 players in a window we won the league.

They cost relative peanuts in the scheme of things and we need them to field a u21 team

I don't think many of them are expected to make it, any that do are a bonus

Sounds like we are signing the lad from Bristol City and apparently interested in two from Stevenage so that would be three in coming and no transfer fees, I think that’s how it will go this transfer window, should Gyorkeres and/or Hamer go the baulk of any fees will have to go on replacements.
Certain MR has his wish for list but obviously waiting on any departures, we need better players if we are to challenge and have chance of doing better than last season.

With respect you are talking bollox, he needs to make sure our club is run properly from top to bottom, he’s started by putting the most important MR & AV on proper extended contracts, I’m sure he will back them.
I think the season ticket sales will back him up too, we have sold 9000 already.
