Good flick on by Simms. Something Gyokeres didn’t necessarily have in his locker

Whole team seem to be treating this like a day at the beach. When you consider that Leicester is now 7 days away, playing with this level of pace and passion, we are not looking convincing or at 3 points.

To be fair Robins says we’re going to be off the pace to start off with. Our pre season has started later than others and with such a large amount of new players they’re still learning each others game.

I’m a bit more realistic that we will find the opening game a struggle.

Simms and Godden need service. You either give Hamer what he wants or sign someone to compete with Palmer before his inevitable injury.

Very scary thought- Palmer getting injured again - he is very good when fit. But maybe he could last till Cal comes back?

This is the last friendly before the season starts isn't it?

Usually the last friendly before the season is the first 11 and it looks exactly what Robins has gone with. He's played his strongest 11 minus injuries and new signings who aren't ready to play yet.

It's the strongest 11 minus Hamer, go look at the bench and see the names alongside him, if a few other first 11 players were on the bench alongside him I would agree. You only have Bidwell and Kelly on the bench alongside him with decent first team experience and those two are obviously down in the pecking order at the moment for their position.
Yeah, that's why I said we haven't got the squad to that, but I bet there will be a number of changes second half.
