Who can replace him? (3 Viewers)

Nobody will replace him, as is the way with Simms/Gyökeres.

However, we have Palmer looking excellent, Sheaf as good as he is and Eccles developing.

It would be great to use the Hamer money in the way we are with Vik. Bring in 2 or 3.

We can't play sheaf and Eccles or sheaf and Kelly together , it's just far too negative .. we need a proper box to box next to sheaf
Totally agree. Hamer created more chances in the the first 5 mins of coming on than anyone else the whole first half.

We could look at sibley again from derby, good age at 21

7 goals in 67 championship games

He wasn’t even a guaranteed starter for Derby last season in League 1, in a way the early rise to prominence affected his career (4 of them goals were in his first 3 Championship games)

Il be honest it's a job for the scouting team as I have no idea who could replace him

I'm stumped. Im sad and spent the last 45 looking at stats based midfielders in the championship, league 1 etc that we can afford ir are good enough

There's fucking no one and im not even being dramatic

We’d have to find someone playing abroad. He’s such a unique talent I don’t think you’ll replace like to for like just like Vik. Liam Walsh is probably the closest TBH in terms of style.

Probably someone from Holland or Belgium.
Seems there's where we've been scouting and good players regularly come out of both countries. Much better value than the English market too.

Carel Eiting, 25, FC Volendam. 3 goals, 10 assists last season in Eredivisie. 2.6 key passes per game.
Transfermarkt Value: €2.5m.

Adem Zorgane, 23, Charleroi. 4 goals, 8 assists last season in Jupiler Pro League. 12 caps for Algeria.
Transfermarkt value: €6m.

That's found in 5 minutes while making dinner. These players exist.

I was looking at championship and league 1 to make it easier to bed in..we need someone hitting the ground running, cant wait for someone to 'develop'

Cameron Brannagan is always a player I thought could easily step into the Championship. Baffles me he's still in league 1. 27 now, whether he's good enough for where we're at now is unclear but I can think of worse signings.

Also, is it just me or is Sheaf changing his game to being more Gus like? He made multiple attacking runs to join the strikers today, tried to run with the ball as well from midfield.
Sheaf is brilliant. Really wanted to see him and Gus at the middle of this quality team we're building.

There will be someone somewhere playing abroad, just have to find them. Devastated about Hamer though. My favourite ever City player. Walsh is a similar player but not as energetic and injuries have ruined him. O'brien is a fantastic player. Would take him tbf
