Robins has adapted our style of play every season when faced with adversity. He will do the same now, we have a substantial strike force and some very creative attacking midfielders, so we will just go about things a different way. It may take time to gel, but we are well placed to perform just as well this season. Remember at one point last spring we were without Sheaf, O’Hare, Palmer, Godden was coming back to fitness and we literally only had Hamer and Vik to drag us through. But we have more depth this time round.
More depth? We're inferior at the back, in midfield and have 2 unproven expensive forwards. Give it a rest. The delusion is sickly.

Never easy being a city fan but if the money from vik was a chance for us to secure the next few years then the money from Hamer similarly so
I wouldn’t want to limit the work that mark and adi are able to do but I do think top 10 would be a massive achievement this year
That’s exactly where we’re at. And get some numbers in as we’re gonna need it with 110minute matches.

Well my day gets worse!

Hadn’t received my ticket so emailed the ticket office. They told me I don’t have a season ticket! Apparently I should have got an email about a week after I bought them saying finance didn’t go through (possibly my email is shite).

So now I’ve missed the early bird, can’t find any decent ST seats and have to buy tickets for tomorrow.

Fucks sake. All my own fault really.
Ah damn. Hope you get it sorted.

No childcare here so I’m watching it on TV and hoping a toddler sleeps through most of it.

Eccles and sheaf in CM will do a job. Need energy around them so hope other players step up. Would be tempted to stick Simms and Wright up top, Godden to come on later

Bit of Hamer disappointment aside I’m still buzzing. Some decent new players to see for first time. Give team time and support and we’ll be good

Despite the Hamer news I’m really excited for tomorrow.

It has to be Sheaf and Eccles in the middle with MVE RWB, but it won’t be. I know MVE looks a fair way off as it stands, but tomorrow against a weaker Boro team might be the game to give him a go. We need as many creative outlets as we can .

I think he’ll start Godden too, but I’d like to see him go for it and start Wright and Simms.

A win tomorrow is vital for momentum and to release some of the inevitable negativity re the last two games and the sale of Hamer.

2-0 to reignite the feel good factor.
I think the same Sheaf, Eccles and MVE. He needs to get up to speed at some point and with Eccles covering he can get forward.

Last year's team included loan signings like Doyle and McNally. We still have signings to make, permanent and loans, so surely the time to judge should be at the end of the process, not the beginning. We have lost all the Waghorns, Kanes, Da Costas and Hillsner's deadwood from the squad, and will have more overall strength at the end of the rebuild. We know we're not there yet, and of course we'll miss Vik and Gus, and it'll be another few weeks before we start to settle down as a unit. Even if this season is a bit wobbly, I'm excited for the coming season and beyond.

That’s right
It’s a shame we will struggle initially

You’re right to be. Eccles isn’t a like for like but him and Sheaf sitting should free up others to push on.
We’ve got attacking WBs now and more depth up front. Having Sheaf and Eccles sit deep might free the attacking players to do what they do best.

MR will start Godden though I guess with Simms being dropped.

Expecting a defeat today with no Hamer and the new signings still settling in. Hopefully we get a replacement sorted quickly and get up to speed.

He's not capable of it

Agreed, he lacks the discipline, just watch the Leicester game where he was out of position every time they played out from the back. Can’t help thinking his best position would be playing off one striker and playing 3 in midfield behind him (Tats, Eccles, Kelly until we get the Gus replacements in).

It really feels as though today is now a must win, not for the points but the whole mood of the club and to set the tone post Hamer /Viktor.

Wilson
MvE Thomas Fadz Lati Bidwell
Sheaf Eccles
Palmer
Haji Simms

Went Bidwell because we need 'some' sort of familiarity in the side. Eccles over Kelly because well I love Kelly but hes not the future. If Thomas isn't fit then Binks comes in and Lati moves to rcb. PUSB 2-1 WIN

This should be the team really. Could swap Bidwell out for Dasilva, not fussed either way on that one.

3 points please, the routine routine negativity has come far too early this season and we need a week of winning the league. I actually think we win comfortably. Plenty of quality in the new look squad.

Da Silva had a great game against Leicester , deserves to keep his place
