Bizarre game. But feeling very positive. Special mentions to Wright, Sakamota, Ayari - so much talent (which we will develop). Our third goal was a thing of beauty.

Wilson - 6; some good saves, but then that goal 🤦‍♂️
Thomas - 5: Poor all round I thought. TBH not been massively impressed with him so far generally.
Fadz - 6: Not his best, saved a goal and could have had the winner tho
Lats - 6: I’d have him at RCB next game I think.
MvE - 9: Great goal, some great defending, and a threat down the right. Wish we had more players who could hit him early. Maybe Kitching.
Sheaf - 7: One man midfield.
Eccles - 6: Poor
Dasilva - 6: Looks better and better down that side offensively. Another goal from him losing his man though.
Palmer - 7: Bossed the game, everything went through him first half
Wright - 7: Better game, still looks like he can’t control a ball to save his life and should have played someone in, but by far our most dangerous player.
Godden - 6: Scored a goal, missed a penalty, was apparently on the pitch for the rest.

Saka - 6: Never got the ball in dangerous areas
Ayari - 6: Looked very raw and still a bit lazy tbh
Bidwell - 6: Dasilva is better
Simms - N/A

Palmer should have had 3 assists.

Some of his passes were very good

Ultimately, that CAM position is always marmite.

We used to see the exact same views about O'Hare. Some people thought he was the best player in the division and others thought he was poor and missed too many chances.

Thomas too slow for that RCB position. His long term future is in the middle.

Going forward, has to be Lati, Fadz, Kitching.

Allen if he does come back will be a welcome return. Good option to replace Eccles, not convinced by Ayari in that position unless we are playing a 3.

Given the number of assists and goals that each player has actually scored in their time here, the comparison is borderline offensive at this point

If Palmer sorts his shooting out, he keeps that spot. If he doesn't, or O'Hare recovers, he won't, but I love watching him play.

He's so close to being a special player at this level and I thought he did plenty out of possession today vs. other games I've seen.

He won't keep his spot if a fit O'Hare is available (assuming it's the O'Hare of old)

Yeah, agree with that. Just have a hunch it'll take O'Hare well in to next year to be fit and effective enough to start games. Changed 'and' in my post to an 'or'. Palmer might get dropped if there's no production, O'Hare or not.

What do you mean? Palmer has 4 goals and 3 assists in around 35 games for Coventry.

O'Hare has 12 goals and 26 assists in 146.

It's hardly a huge difference, especially with goals.

I was very worried about our midfield no creativity at all and palmer gives the ball away to often him sheaf and Eccles don’t work together.

In the championship

O'Hare has 8 goals and 19 assists in 102 games. A goal contribution every 3.7 games

Palmer has 3 goals and 2 assists in 33 games. A goal contribution every 6.6 games.
