Then you have to earn it in training and in your sub appearances. You're right its not easy, but rightly so!

Its made a damn sight easier if you’re never dropped for a minute of a game. Let’s not pretend 20 mins at the end is the same.

What is all this bullshit with Godden. He is our top scorer and would have scored at QPR if Simms had more awareness of his position instead of shooting from a really tight angle. Godden is making the runs, creating space for other players and works his socks off. MR trusts him to do what he is told. Put Simms through with a great header on Saturday and had bad luck when his shot hit Lati. The criticism you could aim at him is his injury record over the years. His goals to game ratio is excellent.
QPR are dreadful at home and one win does not change the dynamic. We have to be on it against Blackburn who have a class footballing side. We have just played three of the weakest sides in the division who I expect to finish in the bottom half (including Cardiff who IMO are currently playing above their ability). Last season we took 9 points from those fixtures this season 4. We can beat Blackburn but our defence have to cut out the stupid mistakes. On average, we are making two a match and the better teams will exploit that. I expect the same team and a close match.

Back to back wins would be massive formthis team right now. And I expect us to get spanked by Norwich so needed before the break too.
If Rotherham and Plymouth can beat Norwich, I hope we would make an honest effort to beat them. I don’t think it’s too tall an order.

It’s not bullshit to recognise the limitations of a player and the impact that has on the effectiveness of the team. We aldo spent £10m+ to play Simms and Wright together. They need minutes when the opportunity presents itself.

3-0 up on Saturday with a previously desperately short of confidence Simms on a hat trick Robins should have swapped Wright for Godden not Simms.

It’s actually odd to see it differently.

Godden has limitations, sure, but he's also an incredible goal scorer and our most reliable face in front of goal without question.

If Wright and Simms play well and force him out the team then that's totally fair, but in reality there are some players that the fans can't wait to have a couple of shit games so we can drop them. Wilson is another one.

SAYING WE SHOULD PLAY OUR MARQUEE SIGNINGS ISNT “CRITICISING GODDEN” FFS

Don’t forget Fadz, Allen, Kelly and Eccles. Almost like some fans think the squad should progress past League One. Mental.

Christ, you get worse. McFadz and Allen are both at 150+ championship games. They are by definition not "league one" players. Eccles has played more of his career to date in the Championship than anywhere else.

I didn’t say they were league one players, I said the squad needs to progress past League One. As in we still have half our first team we had in L1 (in some cases players who couldn’t get a game in L1) and we’ve spent £20m.

I thought the plan was to move away from a plan of five L1 players 2 Prem and 3/4 Champ to something closer to 11 Champ?
Who said that was "the plan" apart from you? Which players couldn't get a game in L1?

Robins for a start “we’ve brought in better players” “we have the quality now”. Yet for some reason asking to play this team we’ve spent £20m+ on is sacrilegious

You want to select the team based on how much they cost and what leagues they've played in!

Pretty sure it was those players who almost got us to the PL. My memory of last season is fuzzy, I could be wrong.

Nobody has said that, just pointed out that the rationale of playing players because of what they cost is a bit silly and counter productive.

I would argue the £35m of talent we just lost had a little to do with it.

Ah yes, that famous 0-0-1-1 formation that Robins played.

I don't know why we didn't spend 100% of the wage bill on keeping them and just got some lads off here to play for the love of the club.

I mean it was more an 8-1-1 most games, but close.

Let’s be real here, we had an exceptional striker who you coukd literally lump the ball eleventy feet in the air to within a 20 yard radius and he’d turn it into something dangerous and a CM who ran games on his own frequently.

This sounds a lot like hate speech to league one level footballers tbh. Expect a knock at your door.

The same limitations are evident in ellis simms using this logic , had less touches than godden Saturday, a worse pass completion ratio , less ball recoveries , won less aerial duels, but scored 2 .. had he not scored would fans like yourself have said its like playing with 10 men ? Probably not because you're bloody clueless about it all .. it's nonsense

Move on from the matty godden hate , it's fucking boring , he plays for the team , the manager like him so get over it 👍
