Funny enough I noticed on one of the Celtic fans forums someone claiming that they had been told by someone at Celtic that they are interested in him. Celtic are a massive club and for someone who has Irish heritage you can see why this could be appealing to him.

Looks like O’Riley may be sold to Athletico Madrid as well so could make sense as a replacement?

Never really watch Scottish football so not sure if he’s a similar sort of player but he’s got plenty of goals and assists from midfield.

O'Riley isn't going aware as he has just signed a new long term contract so isn't likely to leave until the summer.

He is also an 8 so they don't really play in the same position.

I think he will wait until the summer which he is entitled to do. If he goes in the summer or stays with us or decides to go in this January window, it will be his choice and no one elses.

Worst take ever - Half the player Hamer was? Hamer was 132 games and circa 19 goals if you are using that as your yardstick. I know he was more than that but come on, in this current side and since he has been back, he is irreplaceable right now, not long term, everyone can be replaced and will be.

You have to consider his pre injury form and experience with what we are witnessing now, two different game styles and actual players around him to assist him more now to look better but play better.
Saka comparison is irrelevant as he is better out wide and not as effective in the central role when he played there in some early games, you could argue that Saka is also in a purple patch compared to what he achieved before.
We will definitely be better with him than without him

Agreed, i may have been a little over the top and biased, we as fans generally are when it comes to our club. I agree we definitely are better with him than without. I just get really frustrated at time regarding players who "love" the club and fans but will circle around any question regarding there long term future at the club they "love". I am also strongly against playing a player that in my eyes isn't staying, i don't see the value in leaving out an individual for someone who is more than likely departing. I like us all were absolutely gutted when the news came in Gyok was going and then a while later the news i think every one of us didn't want to hear which was Hamer has gone. At this point in time there was absolutely no telling of our new signings qualities, but on retrospect it now is clearly obvious we have not only moved on from the "Hamer and Gyokeres" era but we have gotten better, i see this no different where O'Hare is concerned. I would love him to stay but i would also have no worries if he left simply because we have a fantastic squad already and a fantastic manager but most importantly we have a chairman who is ambitious and not shy of spending money.
