Way to win back the fans - People are really going to be inclined to come back if you attack them! Brilliant logic there!

Some people have quite rightly seen through the web of lies that is SISU. If they were going to invest in the team, where did the money from Keogh go?

SISU may well have spent £34 mill, but that doesn't mean they have lost £34! They NEVER say how much they have lost - if anything!

SISU are infamous in the financial world for being sharks. FFS they are holding a charity to ransom!


Yet you STILL defend them ! They have ruined this club. How can anyone possibly argue they saved the club when they are in worse shape than when they took over!

Whilst SISU are in charge the vast majority will never go! So rather than attacking the fans who have made the right decision to boycott, maybe you should take the rose tinted glasses of and join the boycott to get rid of SISU!

Until SISU go - things cannot improve.

Tell me SISU still give a fuck when mcgoldrick goes elsewhere. Then tell me you are helping the club by supporting SISU!

Why? The team is 15th in the third division, 2 good results will not solve years of abysmal ones. The home record this season is dreadful.

I actually think 11k in league 1 isnt to bad. What do people expect? Were at our lowest point in nearly 50 years,with the worst owners in our history! Brum get about 17k and look at the size of that city. Our fans who slag off the stayaways piss me off,sisu are selling a product,that product is shit most of the time,what do they expect,a full house every week?

Not aimed at you valiant, I'm no fan of our owners I assure you especially the puppet Fisher and his WAG.. however I don't think we can really influence anything they do or not do - they are way too arrogant and will screw it up or get lucky somehow and make a go of it.. either way I'm past the point where I care

Just for once I would like to see a bit of positivity around the club - at this time we are on a bit of an up results wise so please can we all try and draw this out as long as we can

Moan when we lose, moan when we win, how will the club go anywhere without the fans? And for all those who cant be bothered to go, I hope we hammer Pompey by 4 or 5 goals. Maybe that's what it will take to make people think maybe I should go? I did the 320 mile round trip to see us play Crawley, and they won 3-1, yet the amount of people 10-15mins away cant be arsed :facepalm:

Don't stick up for boycotters, they are just as bad as the people they're boycotting! I'm not attacking them, I'm saying they're wrong, and to say that is keeping them from coming is a joke! They choose not to come because they are lazy, and use that as an excuse, I am not keeping them away, they are keeping themselves away, purposely! Me having a go, if anything, MAY get them to look at themselves and actually turn up because they have seen the error of their ways.

Look, I'm not one of your overly optimistic types but even I can see we are starting to gather some momentum. If people want us to have any chance of getting out of this league then they need to start turning up when things are looking more positive. I understand only sad arses like myself turn up when things are shit but 13 - 14k for this next fixture is what should be expected if we have supporters who want the club to succeed.

We win our next 2 winnable home games, we'll be in the top half easily, good December could see us in the playoffs. So it isn't doom and gloom, although if Shaw had done half decent (not embarrassed ourselves!), we wouldn't be in this mess!

We have always had Fairweather home support. City fans will always find some excuse for not going. If we get Manchester United in the cup however then we will guaranteed to sell lot. Look at the nine thousand that went to Arsenal. We have had lower home gates since.

It's in SISU's, YES, SISU's best interests that the club do well so they can make a return on their, so far, failed investment, and judging by recent history, they may hit lucky with the likes of; Norwich, Southampton, Leicester, Leeds... Coming back up, and the 1st 2 reaching the promising land. And if that means signing McG, they'll sign him, but it's in McG's hands, not ours.

Actually, your comparison withe the country's financial position and ours is spot on, but not in the conclusions both you and the government draw. Evidence shows that the more a club pays in wages, the higher up the league they get, In the country's case, cutting spending results in the economy shrinking, more borrowing to pay for more unemployment, and the debt going up (see the latest figures). In the club's case, cutting costs leads to poorer results, lower gates, less revenue, debt going up.
In both cases, a modest injection of spending (building houses/buying McGoldrick) will almost certainly lead to a growing economy/bigger crowds, more revenue, and therefore less debt.
It's all about the economy, stupid (that's q quote from Bill Clinton, not a comment on your intellect)

Comment appreciated, firstly, I'm not a Tory :jerkit: hate them and their cuts have been OTT, and I think CCFC's cuts have been necessary and we have balanced our budget (not entirely sure of the figures).

We have needed to cut running costs of CCFC because we got relegated, less TV and gate money for starters, so playing (McPake, Deegan and Clingan) and club (club shop etc.) staff had to be cut so we can run as a club. We have signed a LOT of players, so in that respected, we have balanced our budget. I agree with the signing of McG as a way to increase revenue, BUT, I think gate money has to increase a bit before we sign McG, so we don't break financial fair play rules etc.

Investment is needed, and it maybe would be available, had we owned our ground, we've lost millions from that alone, our only source of income we have is of ticket sales, unsustainable. We've at least spent revenue from transfers on the youth facilities (getting that 500k matched grant from the FA and secured a category 2 status) and we've brought a lot of players (wages + signing on fees etc). If we buy half the stadium, it'll be great for are club and capital will be directly available.

All in all, I wasn't directly comparing CCFC's 'economy' to the UK's, I was saying we needed to cut costs like the government have, I personally don't agree with the Tories (I'm a Socialist) and what CCFC have done differently to the Tories, is balance our budget and whilst making cuts, have invested elsewhere. CCFC 1 - Tories 0.

I'd say currently we're running at a significant loss.They budgeted for £3M. but I would hazard its currently running higher than that,possibly £4-5M. thats only £1-2M. lower than last season or £3-4m. than the one before .

The result has been relegation and whilst they may have achieved the wage levels they required to lift the burden of their funding I can't see player sales covering the rest of this loss.

Keogh and Bigis funds still leave us some way short,so aside from signing Goaldie you have to ask who and how many are going to go at some point this season.

Many of your arguments are niaeve and this point just proves it as there are many fans who refuse to go while sisu are in charge, yet go to most away games. Thats not lazy or an excuse not to go its called sticking to your principles.

I have been fortunate enough to have a season ticket, yet many cannot afford to go to any matches in this economic climate as feeding their family comes before a leisure activity called football. Regardless of what happens on the pitch there are many who would like to go but can't due to money.

Regarding sisu it appears that at 18 you are still 'wet behind the ears' / young and gullible. As some have said they are notorious in the financial world for being shitesters and even try to screw a charity.

The reality is, the majority of boycotters don't go to either home or away games, where my point does apply, the boycotters who go to away games, fair play, but home is bread butter stuff.

I appreciate there are people who can't go because of financial reason, couple of my mates and their dads can't go because of the economic crisis, BUT, they went last year, and the situation has remained the same for many people, if we were in the prem, we'd have a lot more ST holders and a portion of that would find money to go despite a troubling socio economic situation. I had to buy my own ST this year, so I'm not exactly immune to it all and my head stuck in the clouds.

Oh on that principles note, interesting, but I think if we got a good cup draw at home (Villa or top 4) their 'principles' would soon loosen. I don't really subscribe to that argument though.

They may be infamous in the financial world, no one said that (or I don't know of anyone who said that) they were notorious and couldn't be trusted, moreover, what about the people selling the club to SISU? You see, in this tragic story, there are only bad guys, no knight in shining armour here.

Not naive, I believe some people just can't be bothered to go up now we're in L1, SISU or no SISU, we'd be pulling around the same number of crowds regardless.

I'm gonna have to wait and see what weather is like tomorrow before I get my tickets as my 3yr old daughter wants to go and would be gutted if I went without her but if I don't go I'll be next to the radio as always with my daughter we need DMG to get promoted he will easily get 25+ goals in this league
