Was going to get a Monzo ahead of holiday, but waiting to see if they are our sponsors in case there are some introductory benefits linked to the club.

You have to ring them and cancel the application. As soon as they cancelled the STs were showing again in my account and unused a different payment method. That arrangement fee is a killer.

YEah, stuck it on a low card I had from MBNA that I never use. Until today. Much easier. Can pay off extra as and when, so will clear it quicker. Fuck, never realised how shite the V12 finance options were.

My method for most things is buy on CC and balance transfer to another. Usually pay 4% on the balance transferred which is then 0% for 12-18 months.

Not sure what your credit is like (not my business) but have you considered a credit card? Lots doing zero % introduction rates for 15/18 months. Buy on that then cut it up so not tempted to use and get into trouble with it. Pay off at no interest then cancel card and get a different one next season.

If you can't, perhaps might help someone on here hopefully.

I have a few cards that I never use. Just checked a couple and they both offer 0% options on balance transfers for around a 5% fee, so will transfer to one of those from the card I bought the tickets on.

In fact if we sell 20,000 tickets at £8 that's £160k. Could employ a team of 6 on minimum wages for the whole year on that who could easily manage ST in the summer and get some benefit from them all year round. If you're going to do a menial job, what's better than doing it for the club we all love. Be loads of applications.

West Bromwich building society or something like that, a portion of the interest on use of a credit card used to go to the club!
Can't remember if was the original but pretty sure it somehow became MBNA eventually and got dropped or benefits club related were abandoned, might have my version of it tucked away somewhere!

Probably lasted around 5yrs before switching to a regular card!!
Used to love my card with the club proudly emblazoned across the back of it.

I believe so although I'd had my Monzo account for a few months before I applied. They do the usual credit checks and decide on how much they'll allow you to borrow.

Same, when my grandson (who did not have a passport) joined the JSB's I had to send a copy of his birth certificate.

I was going to buy two tickets, one for myself and one for my 18 year old. So £400 plus £360 and they added on £91, which is due with first installment, so next month would have paid £188. Fuck that.

First payment was due 30 days from application.

I think someone else stated it was around £60 for a single adult ticket.

Adult ticket should be replicated elsewhere and both tickets go on exchange

not really or you buy a st for an uninterested child and your ticket is then cheaper, there needs to be some additional cost - even if say £10 per game to balance the difference

You also haven't considered the cost of the entire technology that backs the platform - I assume that £8 is funding the development and maintenance of the system, it won't be only staffing costs.

We sell tickets to every game from the ticket office. It surely can't be that much of a step and also you only invest once, then it's there for more than just this season.

Oh and all the administrative overhead and insurance needed.

1) I was saying could, it wasn't a realistic proposal
2) I factored in 'ers costs and overhead, hence why I said 6 min wagers at £20k, not 8 and no mention of £30k. Well aware how payroll works (could you be any more condescending?)
3) selling those season tickets is a mainly 2 month operation, staff wages based on 12 months
4) you really are a boring twat to pull apart such an innocuous post regarding how it COULD have been done differently as opposed to paying £160k to a company we get no benefit from and is an unnecessary charge for an automated transaction
