I'd take anything turner says with a pinch of salt, he does ask the club but the club is not going to confirm anything with him until everything is complete and the player is being pictured at Ryton.

He doesn’t get the exclusives but his info on whether things are happening does always tend to be good.
The club are not going to confirm they are signing someone with him until it is complete.

Most of his info on players we have signed before has some from other reports like "player x is flying to England today"

He's clearly been told by the club that he wont be signing this week, hence the story. From all accounts Turner has a decent relationship with Robins and the club so theyre not going to stitch him up here

Wouldn’t really expect big announcements at this time of the year anyway. Like others have said everyone is on holiday. I’m sure we got an article like this about 3 weeks before we officially signed Hamer.

He is. I cannot believe it but I did look at his Insta and he's in Greece. The obligatory "welcome to Coventry" was one of the replies!
The post says ‘Frames from May’ so may not be currently on holiday. I do like the comment though.

Saw something that suggested he was included within the Olympic squad and may want to get any move sorted before then.

Browne is more proven in the championship…
Yeah I get he’s got experience but he just doesn’t fill me with hope, it’s not a signing I’d be raving about and I don’t think he’s any better than Sheaf or has potential to be better than Sheaf. Just seems like a bit of a sideways move to me personally.

robin’s and Adi Holidays are a total red herring.

Deals get done at the first opportunity to close, no one waits for a manager to come back from holiday and run the risk of another club swooping in.
So true. Do people just expect Robins to be on holiday by the pool, sipping pina colada’s and taking part in the water aerobics?

Absolutely no chance. He’ll be on the blower and zoom calls every day talking to prospective and potential signings. He’ll still be doing his wheeling and dealing.

Sheaf linked with United now! Not sure how credible this is, but still.

To be fair, he's a far better than a lot of the crap they have at the moment.

I'd be amazed if Utd actually went for this, but relative to a lot their targets he'd probably be "cheap" and I think we all know he could probably move his game on a level in the right environment. Utd being an absolute basket case for a decade or more now makes it a risky move though.

If we have more than one Premiership club in for him I think we have to go for it and maximise the fee we get - his value won't increase next year given the contract situation.

Will be a huge loss of course, but this is the way.

Every chance the deal is done, just waiting for staff/Robins to come back from his break for the photos/interviews etc.

not a great time to move to manure. they seem to think the way to improve things is to have more people around the boardroom table.
