That's a shout

I was told it was a young Swedish Keeper a few weeks back if you recall

May well have been the wrong part of Scandinavia 🤔🤔🤔🤔

I'd be disappointed however as I feel we need an older experienced head between the sticks
When you were told this @Saddlebrains about a Scandinavian goalkeeper you think it could actually be a loan?

Yep same, feel like we need someone around 25-27, not too old but too young. Also, on loan to Ayr, Burton and Exeter? Not exactly challenging compared to the championship, gonna be a big jump up in quality for him, again not sure on this one, let’s hope it’s wrong.
I am shocked…

I want Dan Bentley in. Barely plays for Wolves, proven at Championship level aswell.

Have teams gotten out of this league with average keepers before?

Significant number of teams go up with average keepers. Foderingham and Horvath last year.
Hladký for Ipswich this year.

There aren't that many good keepers out there (at least well known ones) feel like we potentially have to take a punt for a long term solution

He really isn’t a great keeper
I sorta think so as well, got good experience and that definitely counts for one thing but he’s 30 and hasn’t exactly been great when he has played for Wolves. It’s probably an improvement from Collins but maybe not the large impact that we need in that position.
We need someone like a Schmeichel-lite, tall, strong, Scandinavian, intelligent, good reflexes, just great all round, and I personally think we should spend £3-£5 mil on that position and get it sorted rather than faff around every other year with someone half-shitty.

Yeah we have to keep hold of Haji and Simms this summer, we'd be really selling ourselves short if we cashed in now. Their value could go through the roof with only a slight improvement next season. If they do kick on with their development that would give us a huge chance of gaining promotion ourselves.

I think it would be a huge mistake if the club were to cash in on either Simms or Wright. Given how long it took them to really get going it feels like we’ve only had half a season of them both playing well. I think the club will hold onto them both for at least another year and see if we can have a tilt at free promotion. I also think we need a upgrade on Godden for the other striker role, Godden was poor last year and also stroppy.

I really don't see Simms or Wright going, because there's going to be a big gap between what they're worth to us and what they're actually worth.

They've both had one really good season, so teams will be willing to pay good but not silly money off the back of that, maybe £10-15m.

But with long term deals and the potential to be even better this season we'd probably be holding out for £20m+, and I don't see anyone paying that after one good season.

I don't see Simms as being anywhere near ready to make that step up and would be a big risk for Brentford to rely on him as a replacement. Think he's better off staying another year for his development.

From city's POV unless the offers are ridiculous I wouldn't be selling. They are worth 25-30 million to us.

Someone i think many will be interested in on here is Yusef Al-Gebra, spent last year on loan at 1860 Munich and similar to O Hare. Only issue may be the release and sell on clause which apparently is 9+8(6 - 5^1 ÷ 9(99(6 × 5)) × (9% × 2)) - 21 + (-(-8))+ 2110 + (((-2)×(-6))-19)-246+95*0+1)*0+1%

No no you forgot the reduction of 0.1% on the 1%, inclusive of the 3.2% inflation, but the contract never stipulated whether it was a reduction on the reduction or whether it was a reduction on the percentage points, so I think the answer is TBD.

I thought it was mentioned in his contract that that final amount was also to be multiplied by x

As much as that article by Andy Turner about the AI transfers was tosh, the idea of Simms to Brentford to replace Toney is a very believable and sensible transfer.
Depends if Toney leaves because I doubt if anyone is going to meet Brentford's valuation of £60 million plus. Toney been average at best since he returned from his ban. Plus he is approaching 29.

I guess they need to deal with the 2000 leeds fans in the home end first before they can start to announce signings

Going to be a very exciting afternoon, can’t wait!
I had convinced myself that all the ducks were lined up and waiting for transfer window opening day, but as time goes on I becoming less optimistic and that we have been had by the media stories
