You would have expected something concrete to have come out by now if the Forest/Olympiakos move was done.

This is such a bizarre saga, I was sure this was off, and it probably is, but there's a strange feeling in the air today. If CCFC tweets something along the lines of "right on the marko" at 8pm tonight I wouldn't be shocked.

He's not gonna sign for us but it's weird how he hasn't actually signed for Forest yet

True. Although if you want to maximise the fee I'm not sure obvious desperation is the way to go about it.

Makes you wonder if he jumped at the chance to sign for Forest before he realised that he'd be loaned out so he goes from at least a season in the prem to set out his stall in case Forest go down to to who knows what after a year.

I think we dodged a bullet tbh.

Massively over rated by all accounts, he was already 30 when we "signed" him, and he only made 75 appearances after leaving us before retiring.

During his career he played for a number of top clubs. But seemed to move on every 12 months or so, Must of made a fortune from signing on fees alone.
He obviously had a brilliant agent.

probably each of his former clubs have been fecked over by the agent and we may have avoided it even though the club must have wasted some money in the process

Could you imagine that, after this last few weeks…I’d crap myself with relief, literally.

I keep saying it, but Stamenic is an amazing player, and if we’re still in the running (or if the whole Forest/Olympiakos thing has been a smokescreen) then that’s a real show of intent from MR.
It’s bizarre how there hasn’t been a confirmation from any club yet, though, which oddly works in our favour as the player may have realised life isn’t all kebabs and beaches when you’re pimped around by a PL commodity broking club.

Honestly, if we see ‘Right on the Marko’ later, I’m sending the club my soiled undercrackers with a note: ‘Look what you did to meeee’. 🤣

Well, considering there were several players on that ‘leaked whiteboard’ image, it’s clear that they have faith in their ability to acquire good and unknown players and cultivate them into even better players - then sell them off for a relatively modest fee, a few at a time.
Makes sense if that’s the club’s modus operandi.

Either way, it’s obvious he would be moving on after the season he had, I’m sure a fair few clubs have been keeping tabs on Stamenic and indeed his ‘outbound’ teammates.
