Realistically, who would you like to see as our number 1?

I've seen Dan Bentley mentioned a couple of times and seen we have been linked with a Scandanavian keeper also.

I firmly believe Collins is far from good enough and he needs to be replaced, who ya reckon by?

I also think that Americans tend to make good goalkeepers when coming over to the UK; Friedel, Guzan, Howard. Is it because when growing up they were involved a lot in catch sports such as American Football and Baseball?

Collins was fine for us last season till the team tired and injuries caught up with us . He seemed to have a dip in confidence but prior to that his shot stopping was fantastic but he doesn't seem to catch many crosses ,which seems to be the modern way with goalkeepers .

If he can get back to full form Lee Nicolls at Huddersfield, I like a goalie who can save the ball and command the box ball skills are less important

I'd have a look at young Arsenal keeper on loan to Wrexham now out of contract. Arthur something. Wrexham fans rate him but appreciate only L2.
I think we'll look to Europe and keeper with good experience.

Learning hand eye coordination from an early age definitely helps.

Selfishly, I want to see Cov make a run at Matt Turner. He has fallen down the pecking order with Forest. He absolutely needs to be the starter somewhere if he wants to ensure that he will be the #1 keeper for USMNT in 2026.

As far as other American keepers to keep an eye on:

1. Gaga Slonina (20) (Chelsea)- made a big money move to Chelsea and spent last year on loan with Eupen (Belgium)
2. Patrick Schulte (23) (Columbus) - been rumored to make a Euro move this summer. Excellent young keeper, good w/ his feet
3. Matt Freese (25) (New York City) - really has taken a leap this year with NYCFC. Best PSxG +/- this year so far.
4. Drake Callender (26) (Inter Miami) - plagued by poor defense in front of him. Good keeper and has fringe NT callups
5. Roman Celentano (23) (FC Cincinnati) - been a really solid keeper for the last year or two on one of the top 5 teams in MLS.
