What? Simms was rested plenty, very rarely started more than 2 games in a row first half of the season.I'd just rather see a hungry player who has some experience (and goals) at this level and can actually compete and push Simms for the shirt. That didn't happen last season and as a result we had no choice to persist with Simms even when it was obvious to a blind man that he needed resting. (2 goals in his first 25 games for example)
Imagine if we'd had an alternative during that time!
I think BTA is an ideal signing (if it happens)
If we are serious about challenging this season we haven't time to develop another young kid.
He's up to speed and firing now and we have Wright who can play centrally too.
I mean if Saddle is right and he won't cost more than 2m then he'd be a good signing. I just don't see WBA letting him go for that little.
