I don't know anything here so pure speculation but I recall comments from Viveash in the last few months about "knowing when it's time to move on" I think he has seen the writing on the wall for a while.

The step up in the quality of the squad and the expectations of the Championship I'm not sure our tactics and preparation are as good as they could be. I think a modern coaching team under Robins could really benefit us and I hope that's what will now happen.

It is a big blow to lose a character like Adi though, especially one that has been part of so much success and is clearly loved by the players.

Big, big change.

Im sure there will be a full announcement shortly, seems weird they would put it out like they have though

Odd to announce this now unless they were waiting for most the players to return first. My early optimism based on signings has taken a crash. Thought the club statement was very brief considering how integral he has been. If they don't announce a replacement imminently then it would seem something has gone wrong.

Shit, I didn't see that coming, unless Robins was involved in the 'review" I'm not sure he will like that, great way to start the season, tha statement doesn't make sense, why wait to today to announce this

Why does everyone assume this is bad news? I don't for a minute believe the club would have sacked him without input from Robins so you've only really got a couple of options.

1) its his decision and he's moving up to a better position, in which case good luck to him. In the same way the club can survive its best players leaving it can certainly survive a coach leaving no matter how good he is or how big of a role he has played

2) it isn't his decision and the club have decided a change needs to be made. As I said its unthinkable that would be done without Robins full involvement so we have to trust that this is for the best.

A shock certainly but not the end of the world. No doubt the usual suspects will be all over this with doom and gloom.

I had heard rumours of certain players who joined last year not getting on with Adi ... complete hearsay, but still shocked by this one.

As they also announced new coaches coming in at around the same time I'm staying firmly in 'wait and see' for now, Robins and Viveash haven't been an inseparable double act for all of their managerial careers so I'm not sure I've got Robins down as walking out just yet.

Why? Managers have different assistants all the time.

Fergie had loads, Pep has had a billion.

Calm down
Fair point but does seem harsh if he’s been pushed and does raise the question as to whether Robins was ok with it or even could also be on his way.
