Absolutely loved him. Not many players in our history have had as many iconic moments.

The boombox, the sunglasses away at Birmingham, the goals against Birmingham after his return from injury. The freak injury he got at St Andrews where he split his head open and returned a week later with a bandage.

Like others before him, he was absolutely worshipped by the fans here. His song took the roof off the Ricoh at times.

It was never more clear than at Radio 1 Big Weekend where he's name was being belted out by thousands on national TV. Truly iconic and something very few players will ever get to experience.

I rate him higher than most and think he'll do well wherever he goes. But, like with Hamer, he'll never get the love and appreciation even if he is significantly richer.

Wherever he ends up, if it's the player we saw when he came back from injury they will consider it very good business. We move on and I'm sure will be fine without him.

Cal has been a great player for us and an absolute bargain. Yes he’s decided to try himself elsewhere and I hope he gets his shot at the prem even if he does have to force his way into a team.

Can we do we better maybe/maybe not time will tell but wish him all the best. He’s always had time for the fans as well lots of pics and chatting with the kids so he’s a top bloke.

O'Hare has been long gone and I will miss him not being in a Sky Blue shirt. Thought his leaving would be the worst thing that would happen this close season, but with Adi leaving I'm not so sure.

Come on lads rise above. He is a good player who we'd gladly keep. Not happened so we move on.

No need for the revisionist over reaction either way. Rudoni looks a good pick up as replacement

Yeh I’d keep him but as always we move on. Excited for the new season

Good luck to him, but he’s a chump if he’s stayed in the Championship.

I'm sure he will be Crying all the way to the Bank. 🤑

I am disappointed he’s leaving (well, when it was known before) but there are far better no10s out there that can give more consistent performances, goals and assists. That’s not a dig, he’s played his part in our rise. Wish him all the best. We move on.

I don't think he was referring to him beeing sold, it's more along the lines that we could of been scouting a replacement sooner and looked further afield, and maybe could using the wages we offered him elsewhere in the squad or transfer market.

the bit where he said maybe sell him kind f made think that.

Is the mythical O’Hare hype warranted though. If you boil it down he’s had a few good games. His best moments have been non footballing (glasses etc). He’s had no influence on the last year (no fault of his own) but I just don’t think we’ll notice he’s gone.

Oh how I wish, but you do realise his name is forever going to haunt this forum. Especially every time we drop points or have a poor performance.
Not really. He was with us during that poor end of season this year.

I wish him well. Great player and no doubt a loss in the dressing room. But equally I think his best moments came in league 1 and at times hasn't hit the heights this season. Doesn't mean I didn't want him to sign.

Will be a bit annoyed if its another championship team. I mean, how many clutch bags and funky clothes does 1 man need- but thats me being bitter. Good luck to him!

Will go down as a Club hero for the memories he’s left us with, wasn’t close to legend status but thats no dig at him. Club legend from modern day would be Liam Kelly, and Im undecided on McFadzean but leaning more towards club hero

He wouldn’t have wanted to be sold he is likely to get a better deal as a free agent.
This is where the club (and Doug in particular) need to become more professional and ruthless. They should have sold him last summer or in January, unless he signed a new contract. They need to stop players (and more especially their agents) getting the upper hand, irrespective of how popular they are with the fans.

He still needed to agree to any transfer though!

Can't just sell a player if he doesn't want to go.Since the Bosman rule all player's can run there contract down and move for free.

I don’t think anyone was interested in buying him in those windows?

He was never a regular., never the first name on the team sheet .He really needed one more year to prove that he was real class and destined for greater things but he's decided, for reasons I can't understand, to do it now.
He'll never be classed as an all time legend because he wasn't here long enough and didn't perform well enough and consistently enough .

O'Hare was with us for 5 seasons, albeit one and a bit was spent injured. Plenty of other players have been considered legends over much shorter playing periods. He was also close to being first name on the team sheet in 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons and played an important part in our promotion from league 1 and then in establishing us in the Championship. I enjoyed watching him play for us, so legend or not I am glad we had him. Its a shame we haven't got a fee for him but how much we will miss him will depend a lot on how Rudoni settles in, but it feels that now is probably a good time for him and us to move on.
