The Bear and Top Boy are quality.Been playing catch up over the last few months, some highlights;
Stranger Things - I held off for years, as I tried a while ago, my partner didn’t like it after about 10 minutes and I never went back to it. So glad I finally did, incredible show and I loved the longer running times.
Top Boy - just finished series 3 (aka season 1 on Netflix), again really enjoying it and not sure why I held off. Probably closest thing I’ve seen to an English version of the Wire (albeit obviously not the same le
The Tourist - few slower episodes and probably hyped up to the point I was expecting more, but still really enjoyable.
Loudermilk - didn’t get it.
The Bear - not exactly a relaxing watch (!) and again I didn’t quite get the full hype. But I think it’s partly me as I’d often half watch it while doing something else, so I didn’t get as into it as I should have. Still got a few to watch and I can see the appeal.
Reservation Dogs - not sure I’d class it as a comedy but good story, some funny moments and interesting character development.
Scenery was pretty SmokeyI was bored on Saturday, so I watched Sisu.
Funnily enough, not a hedge fund in sight.
Enjoyable, well shot, the lead actor was excellent, as was Aksel Hennie (of Headhunters fame). 7.5/10.
Not quite Scandinavian Noir, but enthralling at times, nonetheless
I would imagine a retreating army, employing Scorched Earth tactics, would indeed make any scenery a tad smokey.Scenery was pretty Smokey
don't binge often but got through this in a few days, absolutely loved it. seems to have really found its audience on Netflix to the point there's talk of a new series.Loudermilk - didn’t get it.
About to watch this weeks, will something happen or is it another step towards being a shit Quantum Leap. Surely something has to happen, there's only this week and next week to go.For the love of God please let something actually happen in Dark Matter.
the beginning was the best part, its been downhill from there!Gave up on dark matter half way through the first. Is it no better?
Watching "tell them you love me". It's really strange.
On my list.Just caught up with the first 2 episodes of the new series of house of the dragon , very good so far
My mate worked on the first one in that series. He said the behind the scenes disasters were more entertaining than the film itself.Winnie the Pooh 2 a tale of blood and honey , never gonna win an Oscar but not bad .
Apparently they are bringing out a seires of films including another wnnie the pooh, mickey mouse, bambi and pinocchioMy mate worked on the first one in that series. He said the behind the scenes disasters were more entertaining than the film itself.
Watched the last episode tonight, def don't bother. I have no clue what is going on but it's not entertaining.Gave up on dark matter half way through the first. Is it no better?
I really liked it. Really disliked the final episode though.Watched the last episode tonight, def don't bother. I have no clue what is going on but it's not entertaining.
No word if it's being renewed so if it does finally get renewed you're looking at a couple of years until the next series. No chance Im going to be waiting that long, won't remember a thing that's happened and I'm not going to be rewatching it.
Feel like it's one of those shows some people will tell you is amazing because they haven't understood it either but don't want to admit it.
I was onboard when there was two versions and you basically had the good and bad version. Then it suddenly turned into Quantum Leap for a few episodes before they had a ridiculous number of versions of the same character.I really liked it. Really disliked the final episode though.
It is completely daft and I did understand what was going on overall, but did get a bit confused and baffled on a few occasions and my missus had to put me right.
Bad ending I felt.
Yeah, loved the first series of Wayward Pines.I was onboard when there was two versions and you basically had the good and bad version. Then it suddenly turned into Quantum Leap for a few episodes before they had a ridiculous number of versions of the same character.
There's probably a decent story in there somewhere but it was so muddled by the end. Apparently the guy who wrote this also did Wayward Pines. Another show that had a strong start and then went to absolute shit and made no sense.
My biggest question in all this, is how many salaries did Joel Edgerton pick up for this? That would have worked. Surely they can't expect people to follow it with this many versions knocking around
Yeah it started quite badly, then got interesting, then belly flopped the landing...I'm pretty sure I grasped the concept but there was a glaring error for me...I really liked it. Really disliked the final episode though.

Yes it’s a good watch. The build up is on the slow side but it’s full of intrigue.House of the Dragon series 2 has been really good so far. Lost all interest after Game of Thrones ended so poorly, but think it's back to form at the moment
It is good but I think I preferred The Illusionist which was out about the same time. The prestige with bale, jackman and Caine about two magicians who were friends before becoming enemies. How have I never seen this before. Great film !
Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Read some of the reviews today which would me up.Watched the latest Beverly Hills cop , great soundtrack some call backs to the original and a few good stunts
Decent saturday night film where you don't have to think too much
