Cyrus Christie just makes sense because he’s experienced, he’ll be coming home and would be satisfied as a backup and can fill RB and CB

I don't want to jinx anything either but there's just a positive feeling around the club at the minute and everything's coming together at the right time.

My gut is saying that we are going up this year and we are going to piss the league.

But my gut is also telling me that the double cheeseburger and oreo shake that I just ate will make me shit the bed. So who knows.
Update:

The sheets were not soiled but it was close run.

Therefore my prediction:
Challenge for autos but just fall short and finish 3rd or 4th.

I’m convinced that is why Torp was signed - long range shooting. The only way to properly disrupt a low block is to get the opponents to step out of shape, so if you’ve got someone known for their long range shooting ability someone will have to close down, and that creates space.
Yet his two most recent goals have been around 6 yard area, love a bloke who doesn't go to form!!👏👏

Have you seen the size of Rudoni and EMC ?
Also looking at other players , there seems to have been a lot of work in the gym

I don't think we will be a soft touch this season
I've been going up the City for 50 odd years can't ever remember a player the size of EMC in our squad.
About time too

Is it possible to bet on us being top goal scorers in the league? I've had a look on sky bet but they don't seem to do it.

This automatic promotion thing makes me a little nervous. Do you think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here?

Yes.

I get the excitement, but we haven’t even kicked a ball competitively yet.

As someone else said, top 6 should certainly be the aim and if that’s not achieved or close to being achieved, something has gone wrong.

We could easily lose the first game of the season. Stoke away is no gimmie. This place will be in meltdown. Yet it’s just one away game.

In a 46 game season we are bound to lose quite a few times…but preferably not against Stoke. For us to be promotion contenders, the holy trinity of bogey teams must be beaten:

PNE (A)
Norwich (A)
Luton (either)

Let's see how we're looking after 10 games.

Norwich early doors will be a good barometer.

We should be in the play offs. For the autos, a lot of things need to happen:

- New signings click
- New coaching staff gel
- Defence learn from experience
- Parachute teams underperform
- Bit of luck

But it might just happen….

I think that’s a very realistic assessment of our chances. A few on here are getting a bit carried away.

We should, if nothing else, have a season of exciting attacking football to look forward to and at least a place in the playoffs.

But how I would love it if we get automatic promotion ❤️

If we sign a decent CM and RB/RCB, even I might start getting carried away.

Some sites have Haji and Simms at 20/1 top scorer!

BTA 40/1

Just had a look at the ins and outs of all the championship clubs.

Bar Burnley and Sheff Utd we have done the best business by a mile.

Really think we will be pushing Autos

I'm certain we will finish above Boro and Albion
West Brom are rightly slipping in the betting. Now 20/1 to win outright behind us at 16/1. Not sure why Boro are quite so fancied - they had a good run when it didn't matter and lath scored some goals - but they are quietly going about business and should go alright.
