Imagine old white people who fought against racism, nuclear weapons, apartheid and the despised Poll Tax ( i mean fought, not from a keyboard) now being stereotyped

Almost as if some of them now spend too much time behind said keyboard and have forgotten where things lead when you allow marginalised groups and minorities to be blamed for problems caused primarily by the old, white establishment.

My answer is yes.... yes, the p*ssed up fool deserved it. The second one was the icing on the cake. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: donk!

They are in riot gear, scumbags have been throwing bricks and fireworks at them. How are they to know this drunk idiot isn't going to cause them harm?

Twice he was shoved over as the police advanced , twice he was told the line was advancing . It was live on Sky news , he was being a nob and got what he deserved .

Haven't heard with sound tbf, but whether he deserved it or not, he wasn't really a threat so not the smartest move by the copper, it could've easily inflamed an already pent up mob and encouraged much further unnecessary disorder.

Agree he was being a dick.

The issue is more that there was a line for him and they ran away in Birmingham and Leeds.

Incredible that a thread about 3 little girls being murdered has morphed into pensioners telling us how hard they had it.

Won't someone please finally think of the most fortunate demographic

Incredible you think this is the only time its gone off topic

Still you will get a couple of likes from your fellow zombies

Watch it from behind the police line and the footage is telling , he wasn't alone there were a handful deliberately provoking the situation as the police looked to put distance between the two groups

But they don't know when a threat is going to come or something is going to escalate. Three police officers were injured in Plymouth due to flying debris. The bloke was a moron giving it large to a line of riot police. What did he think would happen. Being pissed is not an excuse, he's old enough to know better. No sympathy with him.

Ta, do you have a link to that. Would certainly give it more context.

Have a look at the footage from the police lines in Birmingham and Leeds....

I agree he was being a bellend, the other day somebody was doing the same and had the dogs set on him.

I don't have sympathy with him either, I just think that kind of action could further provoke others.

I don't think they need provoking.

I don’t think the pensioners started it

To be fair, this isn't the thread about the 3 girls.

Exactly - and you could see the cops in reserve being bought forward to behind the line in anticipation of potential escalation.

Where can I find that?

In the meantime, a handful hardly sounds like a mob in full riot mode. The guy had not adopted an aggressive stance, his hands were by his sides when he first got whacked with the shield. For all I know, he politely asked the police officer for his shoulder number before he got Twitter the second time. We have all seen it happen at the CBS arena when it was the Ricoh.

Edit I have now seen some video from behind police lines. There are a lot of youths pushing and shoving as one of their ilk is arrested, As far as I can see, it does not show the moment the drunk dickhead is hit twice by a shield, it does show what appears to be him sitting in the floor post the event. Having said that, in the original video there seems to be a woman who goes to his aid. I can’t see that in this video, so is it the same incident?

Great times, early 1980s. Full employment. You could leave your job on a Friday and by Monday you'd start somewhere else.

For anyone missing the irony, unemployment was at about 5% in 1979, climbed to 11% by the mid 80s, and never got back to 70s levels until the early noughties.

Not entirely sure what this has to do with the current unpleasantness, but there you go.

Surely Robinson is going to be charged? He's done more than anyone to stoke racial tension.

I know you struggle with reading but I didn't say it was the only or first time.

Hope that helps.

So what was the point of such a stellar contribution?

Be interesting when he finally gets back from "holiday".
I'm sure the brave patriot will be stirring his hate from Spain/Cyprus or where wherever he lays his racist hat. Won't be in the UK though.
