is what I'm expecting. Nice to have a settled back four at the start of a season. Eccles has a chance to show if he can specialise as a 6 or not. PUSB!
That's what it should and could be but there's always the chance of MR slipping Allen in instead of Torp.

Eccles has been showing that for over a year and a half.

Not sure he's shown that he can do what Sheaf does and anchor a midfield three. I'm a big fan of Eccles. I'm saying that at the minute, if everyone's fit, he doesn't start. If Sheaf goes, or is out for a while, he's first replacement atm. He has a chance to make that spot his own.

He's been a regular for over a year and a half in that role though. Last season Sheaf was playing further forward than him in most matches. I know some on here don't rate Eccles, although I do wonder sometimes if they are the same person. I would be very surprised if Eccles doesn't remain first choice as Robins clearly rates him very highly.

Assuming this is definitely going ahead then? Feel like they would have called it off by now if they were going to

I would imagine most of the idiots will be attending football matches up and down the country (mainly watching Sheff Weds if last season was anything to go by), so the police are probably hoping for 90 minutes worth of respite…

Torp offers more with his passing, carries the ball better and is more of a goal threat than Eccles.

Rudoni looks likely to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Still think Eccles is a '6th Man'.

His skillset seems closest to Sheaf, so for me he's Sheaf's deputy unless he shows something else.

I can't remember when we were this strong?
Hadji Write, Ellis Simms, Thomas Asante, Mason-Clarke - that alone suggest top two finish.

Now we will see the full quality of Torp, Rudoni, Sheaf on display.

Binks and Thomas look pretty solid.

van Ewijk is excellent, Sako is outstanding and Bidders solid as a rock.

New keeper to keep two good ones on the bench.

The rest is a very capable squad depth kicking at their heels, the likes of Eccles, Allen, Wilson, Collins, Lautibeudiere, DeSilva, Kitching, Palmer, Tavares, Raphael, Burroughs, Howley. All like for like ready replacements of quality.

I thought the last we heard from Robins is that he hopes to have everyone training and ready for Stoke? So I’m assuming that if Sheaf trains fully.. he starts.

Looks like Stoke’s injuries are mounting.
Pearson
Maaee
Rose
Stevens
Gallagher

they will have only two fit centre backs and one striker who scored one goal last season.
