We've got five years, stuck on my eyes
We've got five years, what a surprise
We've got five years, my brain hurts a lot
We've got five years, that's all we've got......
When will you get off your knees?
In some dark forgotten filing cabinet down at SISU HQ there's a copy of the 'Five Year Plan' some expert put together when they bought into the club
Joy why don't you pull it out and post it up on here? I'm sure it's bang on target
I wasn't aware of this but this is excellent news. I reckon it would be nice if we all did something to honour the celebration. I'm not really very creative but I was thinking something along the lines of one of those massive cakes that someone hides inside before jumping out and dancing. We would need a volunteer to dress up and wait inside of the cake while everyone else delivers it to Tim Fishers office, where if suffocation has been avoided, the person inside will jump out and perform their dance extravaganza. The rest of us will then tear off our clothes to reveal matching dance costumes underneath and we will all join in for the dance chorus, eventually spelling out 'Happy Birthday SISU' by contorting our limbs.
It's obviously only a rough idea at the minute but anyone interested in being inside the cake or participating in the dancing should get in touch. Unfortunatley a collection of about £10 per person is required to fulfill this dream. I feel a bit bad asking for money, especially since the Sky Blue Trust have recently been rattling their virtual collection tins around, but I think you'll agree this is a more useful way of giving something back to the club.
Seriously, the club would probably not exist if it was not for SISU. I don't see a lot of investors fighting to buy a share of the club.
What was that film where the big cake is rolled in and a guy jumps out of it with a tommy gun and blows them all way???? Not sure why that's popped into my head but there you go....
Sorry - this argument doesn't hold water. No other party expressed an interest at the time SISU did, as it made no sense to buy the club with the financial constraints that existed at the time. That's exactly why we are where we are now with the rent....
However, if we'd have entered administration, the there'd likely be a number of reasonable parties prepared - with the benefit of a clean slate - to invest to move us forward on a level footing. As seen at Southampton, Leicester, Ipswich, Leeds, Palace, Derby, etc. Want me to go on?
For every Pompey basket-case, there are five or six examples of a positive outcome
Sisu licker alert.
Well, it does hold water as no one took us over then and they are still here. And more importantly, so are we.
No. The poster stated that we 'would probably not exist'. Evidence clearly states that statistically this would not have been the case.
We'd have entered administration at that stage, and history has shown that clubs of our ilk have been bought out of, and flourished post-administration. The spectre of our extinction would have been remote.
In fact, it's more of a possibility now. Many times more possible in fact

Id wait for it to go into administration and pick it up for next to nothing,as anyone with half a brain would. These idiots have nearly doubled the debt.
Ah, "history", eh? There's always an exception to the rule. I'm happy we didn't go into admin and risk a Chester, an Aldershot or a R&D.

Its great being owned by Sisu !!!
Embargo's , relegation, winding up orders !!!
The idiots took on a 30million debt and have grown it to 50million.
So at least we have one happy fan that we are in the position we are in !!!

Frankly a silly comparison. Look at clubs and cities of a similar size to ours as per my list - Southampton, Leicester, Ipswich, Leeds, Palace, Derby - and you'll see a liable outcome.
The clubs you cite, frankly embarrassing to the point you're trying (badly) to make
Come back after a few months away and i see your still talking bollocks.
Look at Southampton 5 years ago when SISU tried to take them over. Now look where they are and look where we are.
Says it all to me.
Wahey! Here's the other one.
