I’ll be very disappointed if we fail to land another CM today but we can always revert to 4-4-2 rather than field a weaker 3

I don’t think anybody wants to sell Simms or Wright, but the forward area is clearly our strongest so I think what people are saying is if we had to sell a big name to fund some more business, i.e. in midfield, then you’d more likely choose Simms than say Sheaf or MVE.

Shmmeee said he'd get rid of Simms or Wright!

I think we should be looking at the overseas market for a CDM rather than go for a Billing player swap deal. Especially since he probably doesn't want to come to us anyhow.

If we had bids at the start of the window and got say around £15 mil for Sheaf I’d probably take it and reinvest in midfield, problem is it’s too late now, can’t see much happening this late on.

Sheaf’s great but I think he’s more replaceable than Hamer and the issue atm is we haven’t got much cash to invest in the midfield. Buy 3 decent players with the £12m-£15m and we’d be set. We’ll probably end up starting most games without Sheaf at this rate anyway 😂

If we had sold Sheaf at the start of the summer you would be 10 times as insufferable as you are now 😉
