I feel like a bit of a dickhead for posting it when no one else seemingly seen it, I promise I haven't made it up as my lad sat next to me also said the same

Maybe he was annoyed he had a knock and asked to come off or something but it didn't sit right with me whatsoever

Or Saying what the F**k is Allan coming on for. 🥴

Yea I saw it, it went for quite while and was pretty expressive so I thought most would have seen it.

Impossible to tell what it was about, but I thought it was as an interaction with Boetang. Eccles was 100% pissed off about something but I highly doubt it was not being subbed.

Debate Eccles qualities all you like, but one thing you cannot doubt is his commitment.

Ok, so most will see me comment and think here we go, as I do hammer Eccles possibly more than others, but as I’ve said before I like to think I give a balanced view, and today I thought he was one of our better players, particularly first half with Torp, who also looked good in that midfield - although Josh did give one shocking pass away in our half that could’ve led to a goal.

He tired second half, understandably, but I think generally he had a good game today. He does have a habit of throwing his hands up, did it a fair bit today, so not sure it was directed at the substitution - only he will know that.

The problem we do have though is that there weren’t many, if any, quality balls from the midfield leading to a chance for any of the front three, and I am even more convinced Rudoni is a much better central midfield option that a 10 / pushed further forward. As a result, we are left now with the conundrum of do we play Torp up there and Rudoni dropped back, or chance EMC or BTA? Kasey Palmer gone and no replacement means we don’t have anybody to naturally fill the ‘playmaker’ role, and that’s a worry…

Simms was put through first half in fairness

honestly this baffles me. Same as the caller after the match who was screaming for Taveres to start..

honestly what were you watching? what did he contribute? were you actually watching that they were bypassing our midfield at every single opportunity?

Eccles doesn’t score goals. I get slated moaning about his defensive work because i constantly get told he’s “not a defensive midfielder” but he also doesn’t assist.

so i ask back. what is he good at doing exactly? Besides the odd diagonal and backwards pass?

This is bollocks, sorry. Eccles had one of his best games today. He’s winning the ball much more and being much more progressive with his passes.

i’m sorry but that’s the bare minimum.

If he was called Fabio Ecchinio and cost 2 million pounds from South America and was putting in these performances he’d be quite rightly slaughtered.

He can’t, and shouldn’t continue to get away with his performances because he’s “one of our own”

Again, he wouldn’t stand out as ‘brilliant’ in a league 2 team

I mean he was invisible second half like but

I Saw something that absolutely fucking infuriated me today btw

Eccles threw his hands up in a fucking paddy when he saw it was Torp being subbed off, not him

He's Cov kid, and we would all die to be in his position, to wave your arms around and stamp about like a little bitch because he didn't fancy carrying on really fucking grated me

I don't have time for things like that. As I'm sure all of us as fans wouldn't
Absolute horseshit take that.
You should be ashamed spreading crap like that.

did well at doing what?

Scoring no
adding creativity no
defensively no
assisting no

the odd diagonal ball at best.

he offers nothing
Eccles was the only one putting any defensive effort in today.Made some good tackles and interceptions.
Carried Torp and Rudoni all afternoon.
It’s obvious you don’t rate him.But even if he wasn’t great, he was the best we had today.

don’t agree entirely with this - Torp first half was as good and put himself about the best I’ve seen him, made some very good strong challenges, faded second half because we weren’t in control of the ball and had to chase shadows.

Not sure I agree, thought he struggled a lot similar to previous games. Guilty of just gifting possession away far too often.

first 15 minutes Torp was good

Then inexplicably he was then absolutely blowing out his arse from then onwards and looked completely unable to move in any direction

definitely second half, but first half he did well I thought, in fact I even commented how much stronger he was going into challenges and winning back the ball - we were much better than Norwich first half pretty much all over the pitch, just didn’t have the end result

It was evenly matched first half but that’s more because neither side was that good. Then second half they upgraded to average while we looked clueless.

The times we went a little more direct or higher tempo we caused more problems for sure.

You missed the 3 ball's directly through the lines the other night then 20-30 metre passes on the ground to feet enabling the number 10 or whoever to progress it?

He was visibly trying to be more progressive in his passing which is a low bar but more than can be said for his colleagues.

Why just make up something like that. You have no idea what so ever what he was saying.
probably annoyed they were not re- enforcing the midfield, which was being overrun.
Norwich changed tactics in the second half, and took complete control. And our coaches didn’t seem to have a clue what to do.

I didn't make it up did I, others on this thread also saw it

no again I don’t agree, I thought we were good other than finding an end product / final pass in the first half, although yes admittedly Norwich were pretty shite, but it wasn’t so much they upped their game second half, they brought players on and changed shape / tactics which completely fucked us

That was most probably the reason then.

As I say probably unfortunate timing that It was the same time as the sub being made

Considering yourself and others on here saw it, think some of the shit I'm getting for it is a bit uncalled for but hey

Literally loads of other people saw it

And as I've said numerous times above, it seems unfortunate timing that I saw the sub being made and Eccles kicking off

Oh and Eccles isn't gonna shag you mate

I personally felt he was annoyed that it was Torp being taken off and not another player - no way would Eccles throw a strop on the field because he wasn't being taken off
