1 Stupid team selection
2 we allowed Swansea the freedom of Coventry in Robins own words
3 the second half was better but in my view only a little bit
4 were do we go from here , This may depend on Doug’s patience and who he takes notice of but a large section of 21000 season ticket holders are getting very restless and who can blame them we were the sold the promise of exciting attacking football which in the 3 home lge games has only shown itself briefly against Oxford the 2 other home games have been dismal.
5 as I said I am a Robins loyalist as for him to turn it around would be my preference, I fear the tipping point is getting closer and closer though

The thing is, even if robins sorts it out and starts picking up results, I no longer trust him next season. The slow starts have gone on to long now, which is why we’ll probably get off to a slow start again next season if he’s here. If I was DK I’d not give a penny more for them to spend, I don’t trust them to recruit players that will push us on. I think we’ve blown the money we had, which is worrying me as we may never get that chance to spend that kind of money.

Just my opinion on things now.

If crowd/'support' turns on MR and he got the boot, think about what follows....
If we continued to struggle, crowd will then turn on players...
Best players will want to leave - unsettled club.
It can become a vicious circle.
Although I am not one to boo (I did once against Morecambe - again, careful what you wish for), I understand people's frustrations, but unwavering support is a really important cornerstone of success. The fanbase needs to stick with it. The next 2 home games we really could do with at least 4 points to calm everyone's nerves.) Anyway, off to Leeds on Saturday - JDs. but no peanut butter and ketchup sandwiches this time!

As soon as Vik is sold we will have another huge chunk of cash to spend (hopefully on midfield).

We love what Mark has done for our club, from league 2 with low crowds to the championship, Wembley and a nearly full CBS , but poor results are carrying on from last season and we all know it can’t carry on indefinitely, because if it does Doug will have to act, and as for who comes in then , god knows.

Expectations too high. Not helped by some mixed messages from King and Robins. Half a dozen games in is way too early to consider sacking a manager.

And the first thing a new manager, especially a “name”, is going to ask for is money to spend.

Robins has already suggested the club is under tight financial constraints.

Few hundred of those 21000 are restless

Tottenham game wasn’t bad? But, it feels like we are crashing big time. TBH I heard a sack full of ‘Allen is fucking shit’ . I don’t like the booing.

The crowd tried to get behind the players. We seem to lack control on the ball. It’s almost like the attempt to play attacking, attractive football has scrambled heads.

With Dennis Lawrence leaving when he did, the cup run, AV leaving, there’s so many factors at play it’s hard to pinpoint what the catalyst is.

I’ve not been impressed with the new coaching team. Look disinterested and hands in their pockets when we’re warming up etc. Defending has got worse since last season. Can’t see an elite step change in how well drilled we are.

Robins in. He’s a club legend. It’s not just us that starts slow each season.

That first paragraph is spot on, we're all just speculating, it could be any of those things or a combination
Doubt we'll ever really know.

‘a large section of 21,000 season ticket holders’

A large section, maybe in your mind, but reality is it’s a few hundred with faces like the inside of a pork pie, that like to be enraged about everything.

To those universal credit bandits, you were shit at your job when you had one!

To be honest, I’d expect a new manager to have money in the summer as if we don’t go up imagine we will sell a couple.

There is a difference between having an elite structure designed for success and elite people within those posts that actually can deliver it!

Currently i think we have a few in key posts that don't have the capability to operate at the required level.

I get the sense that Doug has narcissistic traits and rather than unwind some if the poor appointments he would rather fire MR than take accountability for the mediocrity he has created.

The expectations have been set by the club. All the messaging has been around having a proper go at promotion.

It’s almost like someone who admitted to not being able to remember the last football match they watched might not be great at running a club.

Whenever it happens, I genuinely hope that when Robins does leave, it will be by him resigning.

If he is sacked it will haunt this club for years to come. Everything that goes wrong in the future would be blamed on getting rid of him

Yeh this expectations too high argument is complete bullshit. Making out like we're still plucky Cov with no budget.
Regardless, how low would your expectations have to be for this start to be acceptable?

Expectations are why we’ve sold nearly 22k season tickets.

Club can’t have it both ways. People don’t back the club in huge numbers to finish in the bottom half

To be fair he might be great at running us as a football club, but supporters just look at the results. It was why everybody turned a temporary blind eye to SISU during our promotions, Wembley experiences.

On this, to be fair we are missing one of the best midfielders in the league.

Obviously it's up to Robins to find a solution to that, but when the replacement for one of the best midfielders in the league is Jamie Allen it does make things harder.

How can you be great at running a football club if the end product your business is structured to produce is substandard? Is that not somewhat contradictory?

Thats true. I would expect Wright, Simms and Sheaf to leave
Think my opinion is as long as relegation doesn’t become a serious threat Robins has the season, but I’d be anxious of allowing him another rebuild at the club if we finish no where near the play offs. Would also want a clean break from the recruitment team

Maybe his time is up, maybe we do need someone different, I'm not there yet but getting concerned and it won't be long before we've already given ourselves too much ground to make up this season and that's then another season down the drain achieving nothing.

This slow start bollocks really annoys me, why do we just accept it?

This squad is massive, we have enough players to go full pelt for 90 mins, we have enough attacking options that we can rotate the front 5 after 60 mins and still maintain a high level.

I think too many things have changed - Adi going, new coaching team, new staff in other performance roles. We were expecting the changes this time last year with Vic and Hamer going but I wasn’t this year. I thought the changes would just be positive ones with new players coming in, the investment at Ryton etc.

I’m not in the Robins must go camp but I think he has to be realistic that he faces different scrutiny now to under SISU. Doug is at games, he’s affected emotionally by the performances and losses.

I’m still backing Mark to turn it around. I think he can I don’t want to get back on that managerial merry go round

The general view around where I sit yesterday was that nobody wants Robins out, but that King won’t wait long if results don’t improve. If we don’t improve before the international break then it wouldn’t surprise me if something happen.
