We've changed formations and play style numerous times since League Two tbf.

There weren't many teams playing the box formation at the time either, he was ahead of the curve there.

ok fair point but I just think we have stagnated. I just think Robins has taken as far as he can.

we can keep Robins and we will just be a championship team that flirt with the play offs now and again or we can roll the dice and take a gamble for the next step. Either way we won’t get relegated but we need something new

Something is wrong with the team. Players seemed bothered against Spurs but not interested in the league matches. Suggest motivation issues.

Also clear that management didn't seem to realise players who gave 110% on Wed would not physically be able to operate at that level on Saturday.

We need to see the Tottenham passion and energy in every match from the players.

I am happy to see a midweek team and a weekend team if it means players give there all every match.

As predicted the lack of a RB for cover and CM are biting us on the backside already this season.

I get that Bassette is one for the future, but to not get in a CM the last week and then let Palmer leave was ridiculous, yes, invest in the future and clear out deadwood, but not to the detriment of what you currently can offer on the pitch.

Either the management team couldn't see what was blindingly obvious to all, or not supported by people for control the purse strings.

By January the CBS will turn hostile, players like Wright and MVE will be lining up for summer exits.

Something needs to change or the rest of this season and potentially next season are going to be rather depressing

Yeah, fair point, but if it was 1 win and 3 draws and just one loss, that wouldn't look as bad would it and we would be delighted with a draw at the likes of Leeds wouldn't we.

Depends who we are playing against when we picked up the points.

It's not the results that are the concerning thing. If we lost the next 5 but had a direction and style of play and there was some desire for the shirt it wouldn't be a problem for me. If we're going to lose we need to go down fighting, that was actually embarrassing to watch yesterday.

I think he as earned the chance to sort it out but as I said in a post yesterday on the match thread, if he can't sort it he should go. We need to see immediate improvement of some player's attitude to start with, so hopefully he can address that before the next game.

Which is why I didn't melt down over our previous bad starts. I saw the potential for it all to turnaround.
Not seeing it this season.

Still too early.

People are right to have real concerns though.

I think if we didn't pick up any wins at all in the next 5 or 6 games, I might start to change my mind, having been an absolute supporter of Robins up until this point.

We were brilliant against Spurs, so to then put in such an abject performance in straight after, is really baffling.
As Strachan once said, if he was getting up the next day to play a round of golf with Tiger Woods he would be well up for it whereas if he was playing his friend it wouldn't be the same

It could be argued that the same thing happened after the Man United game.

Can't help wondering if a lot of people are a bit too confident that changing manager can't lead to things getting worse.

In some ways it reminds me of how confidently people would proclaim that relegation from the Premier League would do us go, one season winning the Championship with ease would have us back up and brimming with confidence, didn't quite work out like that.

There's no reason people should be calling for Robins head, we are just 6 league games in, and whilst it's been a really poor start there is time to turn this around. We've not even put arguably best starting 11 out yet due to Sheafs injury, Kitching seemingly out in the cold. There's probably been a little too much rotation too, meaning players arent able to get in a rhythm.

Recruitment has been ok, we have added a bit of depth, but we do lack cover in central midfielders with 4 leaving and only 2 coming in since last summer.

Agree to an extent, but we know how good Wright and Simms can be. We know Sheaf will make a big difference (this is the biggest one for me), we know Tats is not firing yet.

How can U take a risk and a gamble with our club it could go horribly wrong and get relegated and put us back where we were.
We need something new? We have just got something new with regards to the coaching staff and behind the scenes, why don't we just be patient and give them a chance...PUSB

This should not even be a question. Silly to even think it. It will get sorted. There have been a lot of changes at the club, most good but I suspect the coaching side since Vivash's departure needs another look at.

Keep Robins get rid of all the new coaches.
New assistant manager. Back to basics and if a player isn’t putting the effort in, give him a ferkin bollockin.
I think this, I think both Robins, and even more, the players, are missing Adi
Just his character and general physical presence is being badly missed.
All these new coaches have coached the football out of the team, there is no clear message, which is obvious when you watch us play.
Apologise to Adi and get him back asap

Just to those saying why is this poll even a thing, I didn’t start it because I want Robins out, I just wanted to know what the general consensus of the fan base is.

I think something has been wrong with our play style for a while now, it’s almost like we’re so worried about conceding that we’re reluctant to get up the pitch as a team, inevitably leading to us sitting deeper and deeper. Also, not having the most vocal CBs and CDMs in the league is an issue as well. We have good attackers, we just don’t seem to want to press and push up the pitch quickly, it’s a whole team problem imo, not just individuals.

Majority of posters need to listen to the few who said it would turn out alright in September/October 2022/23, and 23/24. I thought you'd all have learnt your lesson by now, that you don't know what you're talking about. Unfortunately many display the memory of a goldfish.

He deserves the time to sort it out. Despite our performances I’d be surprised if we end up in a relegation battle. I think with Sheaf back and when Simms and Hadji wake up we’ll be mid table.

That said I do have the feeling he’ll go at the end of the season, he’s done a good job but looks tired. Not sure the new regime suits him.

For what he’s done for us I hope he goes on his own terms; would just feel wrong Doug bombing him out.

Well They Will have to be Up for It Against Leeds, If Not, God Help Us. 😲

He gets at least another 10 games for me. Need to see some kind of improvement and continuity with the performances / style of play in that time though.

Betting the house on Robins turning it round just because he did last year even though there's been massive backroom changes is naive.

I voted "in" BTW.

He's turned things round on more than one occasion though.
Even in our L1 winning year our away record was diabolical pre Christmas but he sorted it out.

I do agree this has a different feel to it.

No you’re missing the point

We’ve spent £45 million, I could understand when we’ve spent nout, but when you’re still starting off slow you have to question it

You can’t do that every season, the teams get stronger around you, there’s to much of a gap to fill.

45 million over 2 seasons in the Championship isn't the fortune some people are making it out to be.
Especially when we've lost Fadz, Gus, Vik and O'Hare.

We were in a rut well before the Man Utd game, it started against Preston at home.
Not really, in the 10 league games prior to the Man U game we took 15 points. That includes the 3-0 loss to our other bogey team Preston, but includes 3 away wins, a home win against Leeds, and also cup a win against Wolves.
If you start counting from the Preston game, that's still 12 points from 9 games with 2 cup victories as well.

As well as Leeds that run included away defeats to West Brom and Southampton. Not a great run but not that bad either.

I wouldn’t get rid at the moment but the run of games coming up isn’t exactly easy, which could seal his fate.
Realistically we’re going to lose on Saturday (that would be a tough game even if we were in great form). He’ll probably pick a defensive lineup so it won’t even tell us much.

Then we’ll lose at Preston because it’s Preston.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we only get 3 or 4 points in the next 4. That would be 8/9 points from our first 10 games, a crap start.

Difference is this year there is zero excuse for the slow start.

Secondly we can't keep only playing for 2/3 of a season

It’s just frustrating how we used to ridicule the likes of stoke and Bristol city for being run of the mill championship sides with inflated wage bills, overspending and continual mis management. It was everything we weren’t.
