Well I struggle with the idea of pushing somebody away that's done do much .

Fans turned on Sillett in the end. Booed at the end of a crushing defeat against Liverpool. Abused as a clueless twat. Life on football.

Surprising he's done enough, now we are doing shit he barely has any responsibility as it's Doug / Scouts / Coaches at fault?

Does that include when he fucked us off for Huddersfield?

Bad weirdos our fans

Can’t really talk about Huddersfield regardless of your thoughts now, Robins should have a statue for the work he did in unbelievable shit circumstances
Exactly, it's a mental way of thinking , our fans went to Wembley 3 times under Robins guidance plus 1 because of Slade but Robins won the tournament .

They watched us promoted twice

Were a millimetre from the fa cup final and a spot kick off the prem and fans are sitting here telling us that he doesn't deserve the chance of turning this around

We went to Wembley just 2 times in our history prior to Mark robins tenure

That's my point, there's hardly anything that is his fault now so what did he do? Surely the success was the coaches, scouts, owners etc?

(Tongue in cheek, just turning it round on what people are saying now)

Again, if he hasn't shown any signs of turning it round since April then how long should he get?

As I've stated it has been widely accepted by most that the squad just didn't have enough along with the cup run to sustain the end of last season.

Pull up the match threads and look at what people were saying , the squad were on the beach after hull

Ah, not his fault, Doug's fault for saying not to throw the cup games?

At what point has he already missed that chance though?

After Tuesday’s game we’ll be basically a quarter of the way through the season. Unless we pick up form right now there’s no hope of making the playoffs. The only thing we’ll be playing for is to avoid relegation.

Still Robins in here, but mainly on sentimentality as opposed to any genuine belief that we’re going to turn it round at the moment.

Would be incredibly sad for his tenure to end in this fashion.

But let's be real , fans at the time were happy that the club prioritised the cup with a small depleted squad and now are bring it up because it suits the narrative ?

Another weird thing
Some fans were happy, not all. And the way we dropped off the cliff at the end was unacceptable. We still had a chance of playing offs, and had something to play for. After Leeds we played 8 games, only 1 of them was an FA Cup game.

And we had a depleted squad because our transfer activity in January was shite.

I haven't lost faith yet, but my patience is starting to wear thin.

Pre Doug = Sisu's fault
Now = Doug's fault

Wasn't that last season? Isn't this season the pushing on but we will just ignore it and accept a relegation scrap?

Well sometimes things don't go as you want, but you have to keep trying to build and get it right .

For me that doesn't involve a new manager , we persist with the guy that's already given us success

How long would you give it before we make a change?

Say we lost on Tuesday for example, is that the time to call it a day with Robins?

A change and escaping a relegation scrap aren’t mutually exclusive

No, my point is that just saying "we will push on and improve next year" was supposed to have been the last 2 seasons (well last season and this one).

A relegation battle isn't acceptable, regardless of if we had SISU or were in League 2.

It’s just a feeding frenzy now- get him out, fuck him off, sling him out the door. In my view the venom on show against Robins is really disappointing.

Doesn’t matter what reason or thought you put up to support the stance that now isn’t the right time to sack him, you’re then just promptly told you’re saying he’s “blameless”.
This ‘venom’ is something you’ve made up in your head. People have the right to question the manager when you are 1 point off the bottom of the league. No one is saying Robins is a bad manager, not many are saying get rid, just a vocal minority. Something has to change though, we cannot carry on as we are. I would be reluctant to change the manager but realistically that’s the only thing that will be changed
