Harris on Fox News. Partial take on the interview.

The interviewer tried to make her screw up.

MeidasTouch is an independently owned and operated progressive[4][5] media company. The MeidasTouch YouTube channel has over 4 billion views and the network hosts 16 podcasts. The network describes itself as doing 'pro-democracy' journalism.[6]

Previously, the MeidasTouch name was used by its founders for a liberal American political action committee formed in March 2020 with the purpose of stopping the reelection of Donald Trump in the 2020 United States presidential election.[7][8][9][10] The SuperPAC aligned with the Democratic Party in the 2020 United States presidential election, the 2020–21 United States Senate election in Georgia, and the 2020–21 United States Senate special election in Georgia.[11][12][13]

The PAC changed its name to Democracy Defense Action in 2023.[6] The MeidasTouch name continues to be used by the MeidasTouch Network, the news organization.[2]

To be fair when Trump has said nobody is going to need to vote again in four years cos they're gonna fix it so good, being anti-Trump getting elected and pro-democracy aligns quite nicely.

Well more recently Trump has said he would use the US national guard and military to deal with the ‘enemy within’ and that on his first day in office he will ‘get revenge on everyone who has wronged him’.

This is after the Supreme Court has decided to declare the president is essentially above the law. Who’s the real fascist now?

Yeah, but that's just one thing isn't it.

The Democrats are evil AND Marxists AND fascists AND communists, who want to ban cows.

Trump wins.

TBF I just started watching The Enemy Within and it’s pretty poor.

Strange place.
How is this even legal? Surely it counts as effectively bribing voters.

OK, they can't stand over them at the ballot box and make them vote but an openly Trump supporting organisation giving money to people in a swing state pre-election...

Isn't this the kind of thing Trump was looking for to overturn the last election?

What I don't get is, what's stopping someone taking the money, promising to vote Trump, but then voting for Harris?

No-one can see where they have put their X on the ballot paper can they

Trump has also handed cash out to voters at several campaign stops. Surely can’t be legal but he’s already a convicted felon at this point.

What the fuck is going on with Trump standing on stage for ages, 10 minutes plus, either swaying or just not saying a word when he's delivering campaign speeches. Happened more than once now.

The country is going to shit

Crazy thing is it’s not. It’s richer than ever and going from strength to strength compared to almost anywhere else yet both side of the aisle are convinced they live in some hellhole. And even with the insane and infirm in charge they carry on. Such are the advantages the US has geopolitically.

It's mad that he just spouts nonsense and makes wild accusations, without any proof and people just lap it up

"Trump claimed at a rally in North Carolina, last night, without any evidence, that the FBI has been sending "spies" into Catholic churches. He claimed that Democrats consider Catholics to be "potential domestic terrorists".

🤷

Well no,he sets it up by making outlandish claim's to set communities against one another and to wind people up, there was a case a year back where they found all those passages behind that synagogue in NY?

More recently he has been spreading lies about the Democrats not wanting to provide relief to Florida at the same time as saying he would deny wildfire support for California.

So if he wins we think they’re going to pull the 25th and stick Vance in as a puppet to Musk and Thiel right?

Yep, and despite all of this, there's still a very good chance that he'll win, looking at the latest polls anyway. Proof, as if it were needed, that bullshit baffles brains.

You've literally got blacks and Latinos voting for a racist, women voting for a misogynist who wants to take away their rights, and rabid anti-communists voting for a man who rolls over for Putin.

It's bizarre.

Trump's already a puppet, there's no need to replace him, nor would his arrogance allow it, surely.

He'd rather have a coup than leave the White House, we've seen that already...

They’re already hiding him from the press because of his mental stability. I can’t see him lasting four years and think a push for the 25th would be successful across the aisle. Just suspect that’s the plan. At least if he doesn’t stay in line.

By my reading of the swing state polls Trump is now the slight favourite, having run probably the worst campaign in recent history.

USA will get what’s coming to it if he wins.

The democrats would only have themselves to blame. Biden was obviously unfit to run again way before he withdrew and everyone pretended otherwise, then they anointed Harris. Whether it was or not, it looked like a bit of a stitch up and didn’t give Harris the chance to demonstrate her capabilities (or not) and her or someone else to build their profile in the primaries

They’ve had a stack more cash for campaigning and we’re still left with the chance of Trump winning …I mean WTAF ! Just hoping we (the western world) don’t end up paying a price for the presidential shitshow over there

Can you really see Trump going quietly, once elected? He'd rather have a civil war than lose power.

His support base doesn't care in the slightest that he's a rambling lunatic; there was literally one of his ground troops, a lady, on R4 just now. When the rambling, the forty minute swaying to music, and the weird Arnold Palmer stuff was brought up and asked if it worried her, she casually dismissed it as "Trump being Trump". He's captured the republican party, and his supporters are voting for him as a demagogue, not the GOP.

If he doesn't go quietly, they won't either, I don't see the 25th working here.

They have objectively managed the country better than Trump did, but persisting with Biden yes was a mistake. The polls still show a lead for Trump with white women for example, despite him rigging a court with judges who have stripped women of the right to choose and, oh, the man himself being a self confessed sexual assaulter.

Yes the Democrats have made a strategic mistake, but at some point we have to call it what it is: too much of the US electorate is too stupid to vote in its own self interest.
