It was a sideways step. Going back to when he went there I think pretty much everyone was sure Hamer was going to leave with probably Souza and Anel quickly following him. On paper that made their team no different to ours. A really poor start to the season for us doesn't change that at the time it was fair to say it was a sideways step.

It's not just Cov fans who thought we'd be good. Some preseason predictions had us in the autos. Honestly don't think there was a single one that had us lower than the playoffs.

At the time that he went there, Sheffield Utd were right in the shit. They had about 12 players, ownership was in the bin, fans wondering where the next signing was coming from, their best players were looking like leaving and it didn't look like they were going to be as strong as they are now. Plenty of people were tipping them to do back to back relegations. I'm not asking you to agree with me, I'm giving you the facts when O'Hare decided to join them. Maybe he knew they were going to keep their best players, recruit really well and have a fantastic start to the season but that's not the point I'm making. At the time he was leaving a club which was many peoples favourites for promotion to a team who hardly anyone said would go back up.

Just my two cents but think expectations went through the roof. After Everton I thought we’d be this years Ipswich.

But it hasn’t turned out that way, think now the expectations are hurting a squad, who don’t have the life experience to pull themselves out of the rout atm.

Think Robins believes if we just take it a game at a time, forget the league for now, we can go on a run. But that won’t work if everyone keeps reminding the lads of it.

To be fair he said it was what he though. And you can only interpret what's in front of you.
I don't necessarily agree but I've got opinions about what's going on at the club which I've formed in a similar way.

We have got a young squad, the most senior of the players is a Goalkeeper who up until 4 years ago has played second fiddle to someone else his whole career who when they are playing at their full potential are a capable Championship squad but I don't think they are coping with the expectation well at all

Unfortunately we are going through a sticky patch where we aren't performing how we know we can and where if I am honest I don't think we are getting any rub of the green either

Jamie Allen 150 Championship games and probably more in League One.
Sheaf has played 135 Championship games
DaSilva 178 Championship games
Rudoni is close to 100 Championship games and 100 in League One
Lati has played over 100 Championship games
Haji Wright has played in the Turkish top Flight, Dutch Top Flight, Danish Top Flight and German Top Flight

The point, as you already know, is that we have zero leadership on the field, which is one of the things contributing to where we are now. But you don’t want to hear that and get all tetchy as you think everything is “making excuses”.

We, as fans, are fully entitled to express our frustration at the completely miserable start to the season in the face of record prices, particularly those who went to the considerable time and expense to travel to Preston for a 12:30 kickoff. This is part and parcel of the extraordinary privilege of working professionally in football, toxic positivity doesn;t help anyone.

Hear this a lot, don't agree. As fans we impact upon performance, I don't think we should be entitled to express frustration and create a toxic atmosphere just because we've paid money. Appreciate there are varying levels to this.

We have plenty of players experienced at this level as @Nick pointed out. Why aren't any of them capable of showing leadership? Do they have to be 30+ to be considered a "leader"?

I don’t know, but in amongst them none of them has the qualities of a McFazdean for example.
