Thomas was a 7 for me.
He missed a sliding tackle towards the end but other than that he was good all game and some good forward passes from the back.

Eccles also a 7

Overall the tempo was way too slow but ultimately we got done by two flukes. Look like we were tired all over the place

Tired ? An excuse used too often these days.

I was very frustrated by Thomas. He could orchestrate the tempo, which he did, extremely slowly. He had acres of space to move into and pull people out of position but instead stood on the ball as if holding out for a 1-0 defeat!

Wrong starting line up and wrong system with hindsight. Think everyone was happy pre kick off.

Nah, I think a few (me included) worried it was a lazy choice. We used that system to counter a tough two games when we were bleeding points. After two wins, home vs. a team that can't buy a win away, it looked wrong. Tonight was a chance to kick on, not rest on something that worked in weird circumstances with players out of position.

Thought distribution was good, remember about 2-3 into Sakamoto threaded between their midfield. Agreed maybe could’ve travelled with it more tbf now you say that but don’t think he’s a 5. If we scored some down the other end and won, all the defenders getting 5’s would be getting 7’s for exactly the same performances.

I may have missed it, but didn’t see a single complaint.

The first one wasn’t a fluke though was it ? it was school boy defending by Rudoni

Eccles 7, my man of the match, not that that is saying too much.

Robins takes the blame for me. Silly formation. Should have changed it at half time.

It's all fun and games watching all the banter in training but someone has to step up when the going gets tough.

Too stubborn.

Thought doing the same as against Boro would get us a win. Then as usual stood and watched.

Binks was constantly trying to encourage Thomas to move forward into space but he just wasn't doing it.

Dovin 4 - did he make a save or claim a single ball? looked rubbish for both goals
van Ewijk 2 - awful, can’t cross, cuts back every time he has it and completely gave up for the second goal
Thomas 4 - hilariously bad for the second goal, Derby let him have as must as the ball as he liked as they knew we can’t pass
Latibeaudiere 4 - plays like they’ve pulled one of the piss heads out of the stands, unbelievable how incapable of moving he is
Binks 5 - best of a bad, bad bunch but still not great
Rudoni 3 - gifted them a goal, slow passing, only has one move when he gets out wide, 1 good half doesn’t make him a LWB
Eccles 5 - one of the few players who looked like he cared
Sheaf 4 - god he’s been rubbish this season
Sakamoto 4.5 - felt bad for him because he was being asked to play a role he’s not suited to but was still awful until put on the wing. Extra .5 for scoring.
Thomas-Asante 0 - did he play? genuine question
Wright 3 - so off it

Mason-Clarke 😂 - wouldn’t have know he played if he didn’t throw himself on the ground in the box
Torp 6 - tried to introduce the foreign concept of playing it quickly to the rest of the team, unfortunately they weren’t quick learners
Dasilva 5 - no right foot

Robins 0 - any other manager would have changed something after 20 minutes, to not even change anything at half time is inexcusable.

Exactly right mate. And it wasn't just thomas! but when you are losing at home to a team that will sit back you need to pull them out of position and create some space but on every occasion we prefer to play the simple sideways pass when we have 5m to 10m space in front of us and if we ran into it and pulled a player towards us it would open things up a bit but the way we play means we have 11 opposition players behind the ball waiting for the missplaced pass which happens 99% of the time eventually...

We also needed wingers that could beat a man but instead had sakamoto in the middle man marked most of the game and Haji Wright standing on the cbs toes most of the game.... hardly noticed Thomas asante for most of the game...
