question - what makes the coaches ‘sub-standard’ if they’ve got the requisite uefa qualifications to do the job? Perception of the players? Or just differences in the coaches methods themselves?
just looked this up - both Adi and Dennis are uefa pro licence holders.
George Boateng also has a uefa pro licence, the other three all have the A licence.
Adi was doing youth teams at Chelsea before he came here so not dissimilar.

You'll probably get some lovely laughing emojis for that, but I agree 100%.
If he had been sold for a modest fee and we would have reinvested, I think we would have been in a better spot than we are now. Problem is, everyone got overexcited and what they were expecting and he was expecting to get was just not the reality.
He obviously doesn't get off lightly with me, and I know I'm like the pantomime villain when it comes to Sheaf, but he's qualifying all my angles recently. To be the captain in recent times, frankly his contribution has been pathetic. Not even bothering to step forward today for the press conference when the manager got sacked on his watch was another example. No, it isn't the end of the world, it just came as no surprise.

Viveash was at Chelsea for six years after an 18 year playing career, Carr (who has deleted his LinkedIn lol) was at the Irish Women’s team for 18 months with a background in fitness. Boateng apparently let go by Villa U21s then assistant at Ghana where they failed to qualify out of their group.

I am saying DK needed to implement a long lasting structure. Robins was unfortunately collateral damage.
It's a crying shame but I'm more hopeful for the future with DK and no robins this I was with sisu and robins as manager. And that's coming from someone who obviously loved robins and stood up for sisu alot so defiantly not a hater of old guard

But he had the longest lasting structure in the league? With sustained success? He's systematically destroyed the lot of it to install his own guys because it's Doug King's Coventry Ciddy now and fuck the existing structure if he can't take credit for it.

Carr was also at Bristol city, wolves and also teaches on the uefa B course.
but if we’re going on track record, how do coaches progress along a career path if they aren’t given opportunities at higher levels?
I think DK has a big problem with the next appointment - does he go for a proven winner to get us promoted? If so there’s not many/no-one available?
or does he do an Ipswich or Birmingham and give a relatively unknown coach a first opportunity at the level and see if it works - because if that’s the case there’s gonna be a lot of people unhappy.

Qualifications are an extremely loose indicator of quality.
Yes, there are excellent A Licence coaches, I know terrible coaches that hold an A licence.
I know really good coaches that hold Alicences but have not got enough connections to get them into an EFL club.
Most academy coaches have ALicences.
Pro License is a different level. But depending on where these are handed out is also another story.
You generally need to have been in football at certain levels to even get on the course.
But.... getting one doesn't mean you are a great coach. Linked in with what I have heard today...
I don't think you will find many Championship clubs with a team of coaches that are just Alicence qualified... Couldn't be certain - but my experience of being involved with A licence and pro license holders makes me think so...

I can’t access it now but Carrs CV is a year here, 18 months there. Not the sign of someone promising for me. Boateng too a couple of low level short term appointments. Dr Robert’s who has seemingly been given the whip hand is a psychologist and former swimmer I think who hasn’t been involved in club football outside a meeting room before. Alex Williams has proven to be a pretty poor GK coach and has been promoted. Dempster and Delaney are promoted from our academy which frankly has produced bugger all since they’ve been there.

The investment in the squad has been there and the results were poor at the tail end of this season when it was AV and MR at the helm.
For arguments sake, if we had a manager who joined at the club at the start of 2023/24, we’d probably look at the end of last season and the start of this season and think ‘x’ manager isn’t up to the task anymore. I’ll reiterate the point that I believed MR would have turned it around but it’s also possible that he just wasn’t up to the task of getting us to the next level.
The club (specifically playing staff) has changed fundamentally and MR perhaps struggling with that.
If we’re really ambitious with this appointment, I think people will ‘get over’ the appointment but some of the names being touted would have many people feeling mutinous.

So am I, but its starting to subside in to genuine worry for what comes next because I dont have any faith in the staff left behind or in King to make the right appointment.

1 thing is worse, they didn't interfere in the playing side, at least not when Robins returned.
King cant keep his beak out, and the errors he's making could be significant.

No, we can’t. Towards the end we were running out of money and would have sold Vik and Hamer in January and not reached the PO final. He does need someone who understands the game though and take more of a backseat role, IMO.
