For me, based on his record, even with Derby, then at this level he’s got nothing on Robins I don’t think. He lost that playoff final ultimately - couldn’t get them over the line.
But you never know. He’s smart enough.

I probably wouldn’t be unhappy I don’t think.

I think Doug has got greedy - all this 3 playoffs in 5 years bollocks. What’s the new manager’s objective for this season going to be? Instant success? We all know how that ended once upon a time.

I agree but also comfortable with letting the players, board, and coaches know we are really not happy with them. I’m happy for them to get a bit of sh*t for 1 or 2 games.

The new manager however is the only innocent party in all this, so he should have our complete support
Why do you want to give the players shit?

Do you think that will help them perform better?

Or is it that you want to vent your frustration to make yourself feel better at the cost of how the club performs?

I don’t know, why has Potter and Zidane been unemployed for so long?

Maybe he wants to spend some time with his family and wait for the right job, is that allowed?

Or maybe no one has wanted him

You never know how things change though.

In 2017 Robins had nothing on Mowbray, but turned out to be a better manager for us

Those players got the best manager in our history sacked.
They have spent the last 6 months in easy mode.
They have received no abuse from the fans.
They knew Robins’ job was on the line and still couldn’t be arsed to show some effort.
This team is epitomised by players laughing when they score an own goal.

They need to know that their performances are not ok

It's a Meh from me, (it would of been a no, but I can't think of anyone better who would work under DK and his army of ipad loonies)

Whoever comes in needs to bring in their own trusted coaching team, and needs to clear out the shit that got MR sacked.

Let’s carry on letting them think everything is fine then.

They’ll probably get the next manager the sack as well but at least we’ll be “supporting the lads”

I don’t know. But he has paid the price for that whilst the players have got off Scot free

I can understand Robins having time off as he’s just had 7 years of constant employment where he’s achieved a lot.

lampard is at the start of his managerial career with a lot to prove. Having time off wouldn’t make sense

Maybe nobody else wanted Robins?

It works both ways.

MR had a long managerial career at that stage working with teams in L1 and L2. Lampard doesn’t have a long managerial record. Also MR had shown promise in his short time with us before

If Robins doesn’t get another job in 12 months does that make him a bad manager?

He has had 8 years working so a break would make sense. He’s not a bad manager he has a record which can’t be denied. Lampard doesn’t have a record at all

Lampard has only even done one season at a time, why does he need a break

Lampard will also be much financially better off because of his playing career.

I'm just pointing out that saying "he's bad" because of not being in a job is a bit too simplistic.

So, having done the research, I think it pans out as this...

Lampard had one season at Derby. Whilst there he relied on key loan players, and also had a run of 13 games with only three wins.

How this fits trigger man Doug's new style of immediate success (but no loans) isn't quite clear to me, but he would be a "big name" to show off to his mates, I suppose...

Lampard has been turning down jobs as he’s been waiting for the Coventry City job

There may be some truth in this. I have it on good authority that he’s always fancied taking Christine to the Coventry Cross on a Saturday night

It’s not simplistic it’s true.

If we wants a long managerial career he needs to keep working irrespective of how much money he has. He hasn’t keep working his career at most is patchy

Unless Lampard up until now was only ever going to take a Prem job and now he realised he isn’t Prem quality and now he is lowering his sights

Not as easy at it looks is it! No but seriously losing 4-0 at home to Plymouth is not acceptable and we need to improve.

Christine put her foot down when a bench by the Swanswell and a can of Special Brew was offered.
Can you say that again mate but in English this time? Seems like you may in fact have already been on the Special Brew.
