I assumed the sacking was timed to get someone in ASAP and give them a bit of time to settle in over the international break. Would seem odd if that's not the case.

They did make a point of saying in the statement regarding Rhys Carr that “The Club will take its time to appoint a permanent Head Coach”

I’ve thought the short odds on Lampard and the rumours of something being announced quickly are odd based on the Club’s own words

You would think so I just have a feeling tonight’s meeting will be to discuss a plan going forward to recruit the manager he wants to succeed. Now whether a deal is already done we will find out

I think DK wants to let the fans know his thoughts behind the decision but you are right it does seem odd if a new manager isn’t announced

If he turns up to face the fans tonight without a replacement ready (as appears to be the case) then it's quite a ballsy move and I'd have to give him credit for that at least.

It is necessary though. Currently he has a fan base who unanimously think he is an arse and need clarification over his decision. If he skips this then he really will have a massive issue on his hands.
