I'm interested in the profile of the new manager as well.

No I have accepted the sacking it's time to look at who's next and one issue of the Robins years was the last of tactic tweaks in game so if plan a wasn't working then there was no plan b.

Also modern football is more about in game overloads and that is something we never really created.

Robins has been sacked and nothing change that. The who/what/where/how behind the decision is academic now. Comfortably 60-70% of the fan base are aggrieved at the decision so no explanation will actually suffice.

What I am concerned about now, is how this decision takes us forward as a club. To that, what the selection panel is looking for in this ‘new manager’ - which is likely to be Lampard.

I think for me, the questions would be:

- Your very publicly communicate KPIs for the club were to reach playoffs 3 seasons out of 5, and an additional one last year of going on an FA Cup run, which was achieved with flying colours with a trip to Wembley. It's still too early to tell if we are off track with the playoff goal, so why wasn't Mark Robins given more time?

- Given the seemingly immediate nature of Robins' termination, why don't we already have a replacement lined up? How can we expect that no manager at all, for whatever length of time, is better than what Robins could achieve?

- Why are you such a prick
And the entirely predictable answers would be:

-We look set to miss the playoffs for a second year in a row, meaning the 3 in 5 seasons target now looks unachievable and I felt action had to be taken.

-I did not feel it was right to negotiate with potential replacements while Robins was still in post out of respect to him, so this is the way it had to be done.

predictable yes, but is that also because they are fair and reasonable?

To which you'd repond:
1) Its barely November, it's much too easly to tell and we have made playoffs in seasons where we had lower points tallys at the same time in the season
2) Even if we missed it, we have two more seasons to hit that target?

The formula changed when we revamped the entire squad in 2023/24. A lot of the new signings were allegedly alienated by AV which hastened his departure.

Lawrence was offered a promotion and more money closer to home. Coaches come and go and that’s just football.
When MR and AV were offered new contracts Lawrence wasnt and was basically told to find another job when it ran out. Six months later AV is given his marching orders my DK not MR.
Ive seen no evidence that AV didnt get on with new players. Its all unsubstantiated rumour and why all of a sudden does AV turn into a c**t with incoming players when he has been highly regarded by previous players. Makes no sense

1) When? 22/23 we had 17 points from our opening 14 games, 2 better off than this season.
2) What evidence is there that we would, having missed them 2 years in a row?

You wouldn’t see the evidence but he was definitely sacked and the fact AV gave his statement via a solicitor indicates something v serious.

I was told at Ipswich at home AV was leaving at the end of the season and at the time thought it was bollocks. There’s too many different stories about what he did specifically but take your pick, it doesn’t look good.

if i was going i'd want the answer to a very simple question.
is king saying our current situation is robin's fault? (questionable signings. lack of obviously needed signings/cover. coaching staff. lack of an assistant...)

I think guys need to try remember the sisu era and ground shares and team of loans etc before tonight. No point getting so angry at current owner. Not really done anything to deserve it bar make a very unpopular call

1. Why don't ordinary fans get invited to these fans forums?
2. Who represents fans who are not members of various supporters clubs?

I’ve emailed in the following question…

“What kind of profile are you looking at for the new head coach? What attributes are you looking at and what data are you using to help choose the right candidate?”

… mainly because I’m interested in the answer. I doubt it will get asked…
A, he needs to have a decent ipad, ideally a big one!
