I’d start Torp next game and drop Eccles in front of the defence and bench Sheaf.

injured or not he’s totally stunk the place out this year

nonsense - drop Eccles, pick up two centre halves, play Dovin in goal, new LB, job’s a good’un….

I’d also be tempted with a new striker, proven championship go all out for him

Dovin

MVE CB CB LB

Sheaf
Torp Rudoni

Saka Wright EMC

So you’re saying sheafs played well recently? According to some he’s injured too.

But we also desperately need a CM.

And a GK.

ST wouldn’t go amiss either.
We desperately need a whole new fucking squad mate, haven't you been watching 😂

Genuinely tho we need:
Gk
Cb
Cb
LB
CM
Cam

I count that as 6, so basically other than Milan, Sheaf, Sakamoto and Wright the squad needs replacing 😂😂😂😂.

Play offs 3 out of 5 ? What with Asante and Simms ball control and sheer brilliance 😂 DK smoking crack?

Looked clear to me today that we were playing a different shape in midfield and they weren’t used to it, should improve with time.

Dasilva has to go. Got dominated today.

Was worrying that so many players looked individually poor when this was a game they should’ve all been up for.

Lucky point really but we’ll take it.

What worries me most is the players attitudes. Was a million miles off the usual “must impress new manager” energy / body language.

We have some winnable games coming up, hopefully a couple of wins and some confidence can change things. PUSB
Yeah. I didn't see the game, but the match thread seemed to constantly mention players not tracking back and just ball watching etc.

Like you say, more often than not, you get a new manager bounce where everyone really digs down deep and goes all out to impress.

Is it just not a happy camp behind the scenes?

It's all very odd. We know that MVE is not an awful player. But he seems to be a good player, putting in poor performances. Peed off? Carrying an injury? Wants away? Who knows.

Said before, Sheaf is a good player. Again, but not showing it at all at the moment.

It's very odd

Have to give Lampard time though. He's only been in charge for a few days.

Let's give him chance to stamp his own authority on the club.

Take a draw. Be a shame to start lamaprd era with a loss

Saw grass shoots of good play on first half. Second we went back to fearful footy but glad to get the equaliser as we didn't deserve to lose imo

Collins seems to let everything in. If like to see dovin back

First half emc da Silva and sheaf were good. Second half not so much. EspeiclLy sheaf who I felt stopped showing for the ball and didn't battle for it either

Eccles looked lost in his role.

For this tactic to work it really needs the midfielders to advance the ball forwards. That means swivelling on the ball or turning into space etc. few times we did that first thalf we got into dangerous positions quickly. Hardly happened second half

Felt our press was better first half too.

Lampards only had 2 sessions. I'm sure none of the players are doing their role to his liking yet. Hopefully we see improvement shame by game but this wasn't the worst starting point imo

Lampard has never lost a game as cov manager and long may it continue. The streak has begun!

It was a terrible performance today but I liked our shape better. Confidence levels seem to be on the floor.

The club is bordering on being in a very serious state of crisis.
We've spent big money on some really crappy players and are exposed with long contracts.
We have a new manager and coaching team on contracts to 2027.
I can't see us buying to get out of trouble and the likes of Wright may well be gone before next season.

Would look to move on van Ewijk out of him being shit. And Sheaf because of how long he’s got left on his contract. We can definitely do better in both positions.

With our current “top 6 deck” I don’t know how people are ruling out a relegation scrap.

No he's been poor but was marginally better than Eccles today who looked shattered after 20 mins. Wouldn't surprise me if he's also playing through injury
