Are we?

We're almost halfway through the season. Lost too and not beaten some utter shite

Players look not arsed

No change in urgency of them from Robins, to Carr, to today with Lampard

None of them have taken the bull by the horns, not one of them has tried to gee up the others, not one of them has raised their game, not one of them has ran themselves into the ground to show they're worth the shirt

Today was the first time I felt concerned about the R Word

This is more than a management issue

This is £45 million pissed away on not to the level players

Today felt like we are sleepwalking into a mess.

I can't stand the appointment of Lampard, but even that aside, we are lightweight and lacking leadership.

We look devoid of confidence and devoid of attacking ideas, while making individual errors and being open meaning that we keep shipping goals.

Thought for the first 20-25 today we looked really positive. Faded badly, and as said elsewhere I put that down to fitness. That’s going to be a slow process, but I’m not concerned that there won’t be 3 worse teams than us.

At what stage of the season do people admit we’re in trouble? December now and we’re treading water above the drop zone while struggling against seemingly every team around us.

I will say out of all of them, MVE’s performance was breathtakingly shit. Who is going to pay money for any of these players if we go down? It will just be Haji Wright who we need fit ASAP

I don't mind a relegation scrap if we've a team of battlers fighting for the cause. We're at risk of one of the most embarrassing seasons in recent history with this bunch of posers.

If I were Doug I’d be ordering a complete shutdown of all transfer activity until we figure out what is going on. If it’s all Robins then why were we even paying Austin and the scouts? If it’s Austin and the scouts then they need firing. Preferably out of a cannon in Sunderland’s direction.

We need to sort the defence out. I also feel we crumble if we concede. The team to me seem low on confidence and almost scared at times. Frank has much work to do.

I don't think relegation is remotely in it once the new team has had time with the players.

We do need more bodies in.

Yes. We are. I said it the other night and I'll say it again, we are in a relegation battle.

We're nearly halfway through the season and have won four times.

We've kept two clean sheets in the league. We've conceded two or more goals ten times, in more than half of the games.

Attacking wise we've been ok but have lost our leading scorer. Defensively we are extremely poor and we're looking worse by the week.

Van Ewijk the best example of the can’t be arsed attitude and thinking he is too good for this league. Uncommitted in the tackle, casual on the ball, epitomising the laziness that resulted in Robins losing his job.

The fact that he did 90 minutes shows how few options he have. People criticise Eccles a lot on this forum and I understand he is relatively limited but at least he tries and we need that on the field at the moment at least.

Definitely not but a real dead wood season.

I think we have some excellent technically gifted young players, but very little steel and a soft underbelly. I think it’s something that can be addressed in Jan and I hope it is, so I’m going to wait until then to decide whether to panic or not.

Glad he's getting called out. He was pathetic today.

I don’t think (hope) we are going to be relegated. But the fact is that as each game is completed we don’t seem to be building much of a buffer points wise between us and the relegation zone. The leagues too tight to be playing the game of only collecting the points from draws.

I think we will stay up but honestly it's not looking great, a few seasons of lower half finishes followed by a fire sale and cost cutting before a relegation is a distinct possibility at the moment.

Gonna take something special or a complete rehaul of the playing squad to turn this around to be promotion contenders in this league.
