For an owner/exec they must realise that people are rightly concerned that he is a PR hire, so why feed into that narrative with the incessant Frank front and centre posts?

I want my manager to tackle our defensive vulnerability, install some confidence and outline training plans in his first few days. Not be at the centre of every fucking photo.

If you do some years service and get us promoted back to the prem, then you can feature this prominently.

All that exposure can be a good thing. More interest could equal more TV money as more games are featured. More exposure could mean a player we want, who would otherwise know nothing about us, is keener on a known entity then some other Championship rival. And at the very least all that exposure, willingly taken on by FL means he's especially motivated not to fuck it up.

The official record show them as draws. Penalties are a means of seeing who progress as obviously both can't get to an FAC final or gain promotion. We've only ever lost once at Wembley.

Not a fan of celebrity appointments so Frank would not have been my choice, but the positives so far have been

1. Tempo: Quicker from the goalkeeper, throw ins and such like . Robins was always quite irritatingly deliberate.

2. Robins' tactical flexibility was an asset - Leeds away and Wolves last season were very smart. But right now we need tactical stability and consistently playing one formation so at least players know what is being asked of them. It has reduced the number of variables. With 4-3-3, it helps that we have two good wide players

3. The emergence of EMC - although iirc he came on a sub against Derby under Robins and was clearly a threat.

4. If Hull is a clue he has tackled Tats and MVE about how unproductive they had become as a combination. Against Cardiff I think there was only one byline cross all match. Mind you Hull's marking was utter pants.

The missings are clearly in defence where much as I love Bidwell, really only MVE is up to standard as of this minute. Thomas and Binks remain 'under development'. And we sorely miss the crunching tackles that Hamer used to provide. We will always be under pressure away from home.

But the biggest missing is leadership. This is potentially a good squad of players but oh how we miss a Kyle McFadzean or a Mike Doyle. You sense that only Lati is a leader, and he can't command a first team place. Sheaf is much too inward. But come the January window good leaders who are also good long term acquisitions are not exactly ten a penny.

Something happened this season with Robins, it wasn't good and it wasn't going to get better. Thank goodness the owner moved for the good of the club despite a large amount of the fanbase losing their minds.

Agree. It was clear as day something wasn’t right behind the scenes. The players looked uninterested and demotivated. Unfortunately that came from Robins who had lost the dressing room, tactically all over the place and also the coaching set up wasn’t right. Players were not fit enough and training wasn’t the quality it needed

Frank has come in with some new coaches and the players have responded. They look happier and slowly we’re building again.

It was 73rd for Simms, which while like for like but simms role offered something different and was set up before we went 2-1. The next subs seemed to be defensive to defend the lead with Eccles and Bidwell coming on.

Only real like for like was Brandon tbh, and that was just to allow us to stay up the pitch and have some energy.

Subs were good yesterday imo

To be fair I didn’t think Mark lost the dressing room but something was definitely off behind the scenes. Whether that’s the training not being good enough which I think been implied with the fitness comments or us struggling to protect the younger lads confidence wise which causes a vicious circle.

We made 3 subs against derby on the 61st minute under robins

We made 2 subs against millwall on the 61st minute under frank

The hour mark is a very normal time to make subs , yesterday arsenal made 2 subs on the 62nd minute Newcastle made 3 subs on the 64th minute , Leeds 2 subs on the 65th minute

I initially thought he should have been given time to turn it round but I dont think he would of.

Even though hed done it before I think the club had changed and whether you agree with those changes or not, I think the time was right to go with a new manager.

However, some of the revisionism since then, and the attempts to play down what he achieved are cuntishness of the highest order.

As are the sly digs at those who've tried to defend him, given he gave us a great 7 years, for many, the best 7 years of supporting the club.

So I agree we'll keep arguing his corner because he was,absolutely brilliant for this club.

Feels like some people are really going overboard to discredit Robins and heap praise on Lampard.

I actually quite Lampard so far but I wouldn’t say there has been a drastic improvement. We’ve played two shit teams, a team who were missing their first choice defence and striker and an admittedly pretty decent West Brom side.

I think we look a bit more organised and and certain players are playing their roles slightly different , I think we are creating chances like we have all season ? That's why weve been high up in the XG table all season

I think for me biggest changes I'm noticing are movement off the ball which means when player get the ball they are in more pockets of space than they use to be. So that's bringing an end to safe passes sideways

Defenders are making more forward passes

Wingers seem to know exactly what's required

And more pressing and battle for the ball

Just small tweaks but starting to make a difference.

What needs to be remembered is that lampard hasn't inherited something that was broken. We were never gonna go down with robins. It was just a slow start that's all. It's a great base to build upon

players seem to understand their jobs now, with robins it seemed this season that he picked 11 player and told them to go out and play but now there seems to be better organisation and tactics

Pleased so far, probably should be beating Cardiff at home but he followed it up with a win at Millwall which I didn’t expect
