Move on from yesterday and file it in the bin alongside that game against stoke
There's more games to file in the bin than that unfortunately 😂
But yeh agree with the changes, would still like to see Kitching, if he doesn't play he's probably done though.
Think we win this but it's us so probably make hard work of it.

Winning feels a big call. Hope the team & home support have enough stomach for the occasion.

Slightly different to be fair.
Stoke came in the middle of a great run and was definitely a bad day at the office.
Yesterday was the worse performance in a season littered with poor performances.

4-1. I think we may well completely reverse the Portsmouth score.

I do feel we do have to go 2 goals clear first though. 1 nil always seems to have us nervously waiting for the inevitable defensive error to even it up.

If we're bad we're bad. It makes so much more sense than "we were brilliant for 14 mins and then played like out and out amateurs" for the rest of the game.

Probably not for a home game but I’d wouldn’t mind us going 442 with most solid back 4 we can at some point - something like.

I think that's about it. Just whether FL has the balls to drop Sheaf or is even the right thing to do.

He could do with a rest tbh and a home fixture against bottom of the league is as good a fixture as any to do it.

Eccles and Torp should be good enough.

He has to

Bring Wilson or Dovin for Collins who should never be in the squad again.Should be moved in in Jan.

Kitching has to come in for Binks who is not improving, Binks needs to get better in all aspects, loaned out to as we cant afford the mistakes he makes and his lack of aggression while learning his trade.

Bidwell for Desilva who is another that has had plenty of chances to improve on his obvious weaknesses but hasn't. He should be moved on in Jan.

Eccles and Allen could come in if FL decides he needs to see what he really has. Even Simms or BTA because some need to react or be told to call agents to get working.

Tbh this team is clearly crying out to go back to a safety first approach and go 3ATB, but I don’t think Lampard has any interest in being pragmatic. I’m sure his tactical vision will bear fruit soon…

So for me, I’m changing shape.

Big reason is Milan, he’s too tired or out of it mentally to start and as such Eccles come in as a RWB. Rudoni replaces Sakamoto as feel he could be a threat as a right winger.

Trying to get rid of Dasilva, Binks and Collins from the squad and think this shape would benefit the players coming in as well as Joel who I do think is good to have on the pitch due to his mentality.

Finally also Lampard played this shape for Everton don’t want it to be long term.

Let's be honest, if we see the same level of effort we saw yesterday the personnel and formation is irrelevant, we'll get beat.
I'm confident we'll see a reaction, but if we don't then I'll start to be very worried.
Hope so but feel same time, managers have been tolerant to that performance all year. Want to see some players get dropped, not for mistakes as shit happens but for attitude.

The naivety, who the fuck is in a queue to offer similar contracts to failing players.

Can't get excited about this forthcoming game if the Portsmouth match is anything to go by. The players have the skills, but just not using them. Get rid of Collins in goal. Drop Torp and DaSilva. I had good feelings when Torp signed for us, but he just hasn't cut it for me. I'd like to see more of Bassette as I really think he is someone for the future. Can't wait for Haji to return. My prediction? 2-2 draw.
