I think given the commentator said we were at 2 wins in 15 away? Home games we were losing left, right and centre... I'm not sure I see 2 defeats in 8, all done without the player who was the only reason we'd won anything, as the step back some are desperate to see it as.
Ultimately I'm just bored of hearing about it, genuinely.
We have obvious issues, I hope some are addressed in Jan but we might need to wait til the summer.
If we are this shit at the same point next season, Lampard can get to fuck, no arguments from me.

Then Robins really was a miracle worker last season.

We had Sheaf and van Ewijk looking proper players who could play above this level then; they look like they don't now want to be here. They probably don't.

Kitching and Thomas looked a decent pairing for a while, too, but something clearly not football related has gone on with Kitching, so that's gone, too.

We may have had similar personnel, but the circumstances are very different.

Frustrating not to win it but away draw not end of world. All the elite tactician stuff can stop at least as lamaprd did make changes to formation and can't really do much about missing a sitter.

Thought sheaf was dogshit. All of first half we looked so open. And gutted for bta as would have been perfect time to shut people up but it's a bad miss no two ways about it. Dovin with some big saves

Still some positives. We did come out firing second half so I assume team talk went well and was nice to see us take off a midfielder for a striker for once.

3 wins 3 draws 2 losses under lampard. We're not going backwards that much is for sure.. Slow and steady for now. We still need to work on our passages of play and how to break teams down. Once we can get that sort of stuff to click we should hopefully be a very dangerous team.

So, for 3 months last season we were playing great, in play off form, and had a cup run which produced 2 cracking performances.

Then Lawrence left, the wheels started to come off and then Viveash left.

Poor form continues in to this season, Robins replaced by Lampard and some high level coaches, and OK, that's going to take time to bear fruit.

But surely at some point this team has to get back to being much, much better. I'm not saying play off contenders but even just a solid mid table side because at the moment they're absolutely fucking dreadful.

We've lost O'Hare, (huge player for us in my book), Wright's injured but its pretty much the same group.

How the fuck have they deteriorated so much?

People can say this one is a bad signing or that one, but they've shown they can do it.

Even of the maligned new signings, BTA scored 12 goals for the Baggies last season .

I can't help but think there is something much more deep rooted going on.

Hopefully Lampard gets to the bottom of it and is able to get a few in, and out, the door in January.

I think the decision to make a change was justified. The decision to bring in someone who's playing the same system, but slower, seems like a very strange move.

I did say we need to work on our passages of play to break sides down though so I think we probably on same page re passing.

I have no issue with patient play mind you. But has to be a time where you risk it a bit. But when Eccles and sheaf give easy balls away you have other problems to resolve first

The centre backs have no-one to give it to who can carry the ball forward. Not sure what FL can do with the current crop. other than (imo) go 2 up top. I think he's telling them not to lose possession mate. It's a bloody obsession.

Funnily enough when we went more direct at the start of the second half we got a goal and looked a threat. Then we went to our standard approach even when they were down a man.

And I'm with you on having Bassette and Simms up front, but it's no good if you're not willing to chance an occasional early ball over the top or down the channels.

it’s not impossible for managers to do well with others players. Look at Cooper the year he got Forest up.

He needs time, he’s now got a window now to do what he needs to do, but that was- once again- really poor, and I don’t understand why some people are so defensive and protective about other people calling it what it was. I think Lampard is a naive an inexperienced manager who has never got his teams to play above their level and who is clueless tactically.

Players don’t just become bad en masse, they play in systems that don’t suit them or they don’t know what’s expected of them.

I would have accepted it as football isn't as straight forward as team always scored Vs 10 men

We gave it a go. He made tactical changes. We missed a sitter. These things happen, you can't guarantee changes lead to the killer goal.

At very least it gives us stuff to work on to improve. Passing has been mentioned but I'm not happy with either full backs crossing today either.

Players weak mentality and lack of confidence or instructions from the bench, or both.

Poor, poor performance.

On paper, the results the last few games look fine, but in context of who we’ve played it’s not great.

what I do find odd is you never made such negative post prior to lampard taking over in any specific game
