Ben Sheaf to Leeds? (18 Viewers)

He's captain and he offers no inspiration to his team mates, just walks about with a face like a slapped arse.

If we can get 8 million and get it reinvested then it's a no brainer for me.

I doubt we'll see Sheaf at anything like his best for the remainder of his time here.
It's like Deal Or No Deal. We fucked up not selling him at his peak value but now we'd be fairly happy to sell our 10p box for £8 million.

They didn’t. Hamer played the game to keep fans on board. When the Dutch team was interested he said he had to leave to be near his son. He then went round saying he will stay until the minute a club in the Premier League came in and off he went.

The suggestion is they are paying him £40k a week. If you even remotely believe we as a club would pay that anyway that’s laughable

He’s not worth £8 million. Cant see that happening

Irrespective if he stays, will he want to be here at the end of his current contract? NO, so we need to sell before risking another O’Hare situation

Unless there’s a replacement lined up (which I doubt, because of our recent history with player sales and lack of replacement) then I’d say wait until the summer and it would be stupid not to.

Too much of a risk to sell an important first team player with the backdrop of a very possible relegation fight if a replacement isn’t up to scratch.

as I’ve said before, they put terms to the club and we wouldn’t pay what they wanted, so they both left,

Sheaf has played 45 mins of decent football this season - Millwall away.

A shadow of his former self and certainly not captain material

He has been here for 5 years now, maybe a departure is best for both parties if a) we get a decent fee and b) we have a replacement lined up.

Not having this. Everyone keeps telling me how shit he is and has always been, no chance a team like Leeds would want him.
Just had the same argument, someone saying the same but then saying we shouldn’t accept less than 10 million for him 😂. make your mind up 😂

He is contracted to 2026

Where is your evidence to support this?

On the one hand of we got 20 million quid for Sheaf and Milan that's great business

But then I realise we have an incompetent prick in charge of finding their replacements and adding to the 'deck' and his boss who likes to throw the money at any player said incompetent man mentions

This window will be interesting as Lampard will have a clear set of expectations and Austin will know it’s a make or break window for him too

MVE and Sheaf will both be gone in the summer regardless. Not sure what the big deal is selling them now if the price is right
For me, the worry is still relegation this season. Recent results against other poor teams have put us up a few places but it is still a possibility.
If we lose two good players (and no guarantee of adequate replacements - see all the failed bids in summer for midfielders), then my worry would rise.

Do you trust our Recruitment Team to do that?
Trust I don’t know. Last year I thought the recruitment was decent. Still think overall players are decent but squad spine was neglected.

I have a wait and see approach but ultimately we have to sell in order to bring in and to be attractive to younger players. After all the model is either with us or not we’ll get you a top move. Doesn’t work if you have no examples.

King got interviewed on sky the first game after he took over and, said we will not be selling our best players , since then, gykores, hamer, ohare and now possibly MVE and sheaf, pretty sure that our previous owners did the same and got rightly slaughtered for it, id be worried what his actual plans are if we let MVE and sheaf go, selling our good players and buying poor replacements ?
Pretty sure that is our template. Buy cheapish, develop then sell at a good profit. Rinse and repeat. The fly in the ointment recently has been the sums we have been paying and the development side of things.
