Starmer could have quite easily shut the "reform racists" down, why didn't he? If anything he drove people towards them. It was quite clear the intention was to distance him from any Islamic terrorist talk as quick as possible (even though they knew full well at this point). Can you genuinely not see how it backfired and made things much worse?
