For the sake of argument, society has changed on the whole. Women are also a lot more promiscuous than they used to be. Admittedly most of my friends are men, but some of the stories and shit situations they've been through are astonishing. Reverse the genders and people would be going mad.

I know this is a bit of a digression from a crazed crossbow lunatic, but if we want some equality then there's some serious double standards that need fixing on both sides.

You won’t find argument from me that women can fuck with men in spectacular ways. But ultimately we kill them and they don’t kill us. And that’s a different level of issue.

How do you know women are more promiscuous than they used to be?

I doubt human sexuality has dramatically changed in only 70 years, it’s just more spoken about and socially accepted than it was then.

Certain aspects have. There is a significant increase in hospital treatment of young women admitted to hospital with anal tears and it’s viewed as a direct influence to normalisation of the activity through pornography.

I would assume coercion also must play a part in most instances accompanied by a total lack of awareness of the dangers associated with it

If people experiment more then it means both genders are doing so and is normal as society changes (not talking about choking and slapping).
Problem is that girls might be doing so not of their own free will but to conform to what they are being told are societal norms. You hear of under-age kids having anal sex - this can only be because of the prevalence of what used to be called hardcore pornography (not Page 3) normalising it.

Is this really the thread to be debating the morality of women? *Really*?

Where some sadistic head case brutally slaughtered 3 innocent women as he was incapable of facing rejection and is an evil coward

Probably not

Exactly. At best, it's tasteless in the extreme. At worst, it's implicitly justifying his actions... which have zero justification whatever the woman did or didn't do.

Blimey. Grendull researching the sexual health trends of women. Well perhaps he has a caring side after all...... ?

Terribly sad case which I missed when I was away. BBC racing commentator John Hunt must be in living hell.
Clearly this Clifford fella is not a well chap. His brother is in jail having committed murder too. Feel very sorry for their parents too.

Discussing the promiscuity of women and the “double standards” faced by men in a thread about a bloke killing three women with a crossbow, mainly.

The conversation was about the change of society, gender and their roles, and even at one stage pornography - which had followed on from the original bulletin post - where literally everyone commented on how horrendous this crime was.

Even though you would have missed this context, as during this time you took a hiatus from SBT following some questions someone asked about your wife's religion that you didn't like. You are deliberately missing it now. At no point has anyone made excuses for the crossbow lunatic, or blamed the victims.

I’ve read the rest of the thread - regardless of the course of the discussion, I find that angle to be irrelevant at best, incredibly poor taste at worst.

And uh, thanks for the history lesson?

No come on white men are under so much pressure it’s understandable that some of them Axe their kids

Where has anyone excused anything?

SBT is having a bad day and is looking to whip up a storm, and you're the first one that has fallen for it.

I don’t particularly want to get involved in the inevitable all day argument but your description of Andrew Tate - a women hating misogynist- as someone who can teach men about handling rejection is pretty horrific

Perhaps it would be worth stating a new thread on this, as really the one thing I agree with you on is that it is probably out of taste given the seriousness of this horrible crime. It did go off course though, which happens on this forum, so please don't put words in my mouth or get emotional without providing some proper counter-arguments either, though. That's pretty poor taste in itself.

We are all agreed that this was a shocking story and that the guilty party probably deserves to suffer more than this sentence will probably serve.

Yeah, I mean like I said above, it is probably better to start a thread separately. No matter how vile he is however, you would clearly be demonstrating that don't know what you are talking about on why he has a broader following, with or without incels, if you say otherwise. There's a much bigger picture to study here, and you don't have to like or support him to know that.

You have been emotional the whole time. Your first comment with the block capitals a prime example, and the rest of your practice has just been an emotive, like-hunting, exercise wanting to whip up a storm because you're having one of your argument ticks. You've tried to suggest agendas attached to the original news story, which isn't the case either.

If you really care about the ill taste of all of this, then perhaps just stop now and leave the discussion to get back on track?
