Things looking pretty glum on the stoke forum.

"Even when we go down, we have to keep Robins"

"Why is Robins so reluctant to make subs"?

"I'd give Robins 4 more weeks"

Sound familiar?

Even though they are some way above the drop zone right now I can see Millwall going down.
So Millwall immediately come along and show me to have bad judgement about them. 😁

Actually I saw the last 10 mins of their game vs. Luton and both teams were woeful, so I might not be so far off the mark.

Don't worry, I said similar a couple of weeks ago!

People sometimes complain about our fan base, but spare a moments thought for our dearest Sunderland fans, who booed their team off after conceding in the final moments against Plymouth. My friend told me today. He is embarrassed about it 😂

The worry with Mark Robins is that he had his purple patch with us and he'll never be able to match that again.

I hope I'm wrong as I'd like to see him do well.
A purple patch that lasted several years?

I'm more intrigued on how Stoke have been in the bottom half of the Championship each year when they are amongst the top spenders.

If you put it in context of a whole career in management yes. I'm in no way trying to play down what he achieved here.

Coates family don’t care about losing money! In top 10 of highest tax payers in UK, so must have plenty of cash.

They must get through nearly as many managers as Watford so they do expect some sort of return. Just makes me wonder why they keep failing.

Robins and Coventry was the perfect fit when he came in the second time round. Felt a bit like SISU were out of ideas so just let him take control of whatever he wanted. He did a fantastic job and we should never forget that but I don't think he's going to get anywhere near that freedom at any club in the top two divisions nowadays, he's going to have to adapt to succeed.

He looks beat in his interviews very uninspiring think he's been found out at this level now not taking away from everything he did for us but can't see it ending well for him stoke could be in the bottom 3 after next weekends game

He should have taken the rest of this season off and come back properly fresh. I feel like he’s just jumped back too quick after such a long period for us.

Im starting to think that our success under Robins was a team effort with Vivash and Lawrence. When they left Robins was found out
You could ofcourse use this very argument for hundreds of managers that did well ever .

Lampard is doing well here because he has a good team around him ?

Last season we had a bad start too with adi and Dennis equally as bad as this season , maybe just maybe robins deserves more respect from some

In Stoke's case, with their third head coach of the season, perhaps it's just a fact that they haven't got very good players

Well they have a very good assistant manager too that was with moyes at West ham .

It's a tough job at stoke more so to do with time

I think they are similar to Watford, plenty of good individuals but the team doesn't add up to the sum of their parts. They pip other teams by offering more wages but does that attract the wrong characters 🤔

It's a good job that robins has had 2 top 10 finishes in his last 2 full seasons then at championship level , isn't it
Why is it a good job, I'm saying I think coming straight in to an established championship side who want instant Premiership promotion is a totally different scenario to when he took over us, isn't it.

I doubt stoke are after instant promotion , but they've got an established championship manager now that's achieved survival and almost promotion in this division, by every metric he's the ideal candidate for that club ..

Thought the same really his interviews are a continuation of his last few interviews with us just a different team
