Been told by a mate at work who is a Wednesday st holder that away tickets this season are £36 for adults.
This is the highest in the championship for away fans and personally think its taking the P.
no doubt we will still sell our allocation but is it time for rge efl to follow the premier league and cap the prices ?

True, but the away end at Bramall Lane is far from good. Cramped concourse, crap facilities and a poor view.

It's remarkable that both Sheffield clubs, in the city that was the birthplace of modern football and the site of tragedy that sparked the reconstruction of grounds across the country, have such poor grounds.

The away end is bit naff but Bramall Lane is lovely ground and I can't stand United (Can't say I am keen on either of them)

Hillsborough is just grim, horrible aura to that away end considering the only thing to change since 1989 is the fact seats have been installed

That's your view, Hillsborough is one of the few traditional grounds remaining. I love it, its so nostalgic. The only stand that should be replaced I agree is the Leppings Lane end

I'll probably open a can of worms with this as people have their opinions on what happened there and why it did and I am not getting into a rabbit hole or debate on that...

But I just feel uneasy standing in the same structure that 97 people lost their lives, if balls had been drawn out of a bag different or the powers that be wanted us at the other end of the ground that could have been my dad albeit two years earlier

I've been to Ibrox and Bradford but they are completely different stadiums to what they were when disasters happened there, Hillsborough is identical other than the fact it isn't standing anymore, I find it eerie - Sheffield Wednesday should have been made to flatten Leppings Lane at the minimum for me

Plymouth paid £37 at our place. Leeds were going to but as it’s a mid-week game it’s now £30. We have choices so…

Its been a while since i went to Brammall Lane (that friday night game in the Leon Clarke era when we won in the last minute)

But the away end was almost identical to the West Terrace.

Still prefer Hillsborough.... proper traditional ground.... despite the recent hostilities, generally been less bad blood than vs Sheffield Utd.... even though its not in the centre its an easy tram ride out and i recall there being plenty of pubs nearby (again its been a while since i've been)

Its walking through that Tunnel that still hasnt changed and the funnelling that it caused into the two middle pens at the time is the major reason for what happened. As you say its a strnge feeling and as a 16 year old at the time who had stood there the year before in a league game it really does mke you think what could have been if circumstances had been reversed in the Leeds game in 86/87

I was like a sardine that day as a skinny 15 year old. I climbed over into a segregation pen which wasn't as full. Accident waiting to happen is an understatement

I was in there as well (17 at the time) During one of the surges both I and my mate lost our footing and started to sink in the crush. It was like being in quicksand and impossible to get our feet down.
Luckily a big bloke stood behind saw what was happening grabbed us both by our collars and pulled us back up.
Really frightening made sure from that day forward that we always had a barrier directly behind us in terracing

That's what I mean really. Facilities are awful but it's brilliant in terms of character and uniqueness.

A bit like QPR, I don't think I'd want to go there every fortnight to watch a game, but as a once a season trip it's good.
