@Saddlebrains
hope you don’t mind the question. A number of months back you said something along the lines of the camp not been a happy one and a number of players were wanting to jump ship. Do you know if the mood has changed and players are more committed to and dare I say convinced about the project since Frank has started putting his stamp on things ?
Certain players weren't happy, for things such as lack of game time, being played out of position, feeling their team mates weren't putting in the effort needed etc
By all accounts it became quite toxic around the time Robins left (not Robins himself i want to make clear)
Seemingly Lampard and co have been a breath of fresh air, made clear what is required standards wise and that if they put in the effort then so will he
For example you may have noticed Kitching looks a bit leaner and can do 90s minutes easily now. Whereas last season he was hooked a lot. And couldn't get in the side at the start of this season
Lampards worked with him one on one on things and Kitchings reciprocated by staying longer after training doing aerobic work to improve stamina, and low and behold he looks a new player
Robins was an amazing man for this club, but one thing we all know I'd that 1 to 1 man management wasn't his strong point, Lampards approached this his way and it seems to have the desired effect with those who were unhappy
