so basically Doug does know what he’s on about and most of our fans don’t, not quite a top 6 deck yet but getting there

All credit to Lampard but think we’ve got a bit lucky, wev‘e stumbled onto a team that works, players that have come in have stepped up, just hope trying to bring in grimes, Clarke , wright and sheaf doesn‘t upset things too much, not a bad problem to have though
Just as happened to Robins and Viveash several times over the past 7 years.

Fucking hell not this shit again

Promotion too soon is the dumbest shit I've heard

Mad idea here, but hear me out. A team that gets promoted from the championship to the premier league could use some of the money to buy players, which would improve the squad and potentially increase the chances of having a half decent season. Just a thought.

Wasn't expecting it anyway but if we're in the mix going into the final 7 or 8 games and then fall short that would still be a great season.

As for is the team ready for the EPL?
Don't really care, if used right the money could be a gamechanger for the club
Agree with the first paragraph. Re the second, of course preferable to go up then not, but would love us to aim at a Brentford/Brighton rather then a Southampton/Norwich.

Well of course that’s the case, but presuming you want to follow the yo-yo method, you don’t want to be spending too much money to invest in the squad that gets us back in financial trouble. I would just like more players in the squad that I would consider definite PL, but would still rather go up then not.

Coaching
Tactics
It seems that losing Viveash and Lawrence and the way they were replaced clearly took us backwards. Lampard and his two assistants have clearly upgraded the skill set of the coaching staff. Or at least it’s very easy to make that assumption .

I think these new coaches we have now are having a huge influence .. they are basically elite level coaches and have been involved at the top level for a number of years

They are but from memory there were quite a few on here that didn’t think lampard and his team were good enough for us Evo. It was bizarre. Just because of a poor spell as interim of a shitshow of club (Chelsea). as you say they’ve coached/managed at far higher level than us. Very early days but positive signs

What even with that shit striker in the team you were slagging off last week.

Oh ellis hasn't given us anywhere near enough this season and he was decent today .. can't remember calling him shit unless you can remind me sorry

Have we gone from those who didn't like Robins blaming him for shit signings, now saying he had nothing to do with it and was all down to King yet?

Vice versa of course also applies!

We had 1 point more than we did last season with 1 less game played .

Sure we've moved on now and I've travelled to Swansea today to watch the team get a fantastic win under a new regime and yet we've still got wet farts on here talking waffle about robins 🤷‍♂️ blame people like me all you want but I never mentioned him
Shows how good results have been under Lampard

I’m still not convinced we are personally. Midfield still needs improvement as does the defence. Also regardless of top 6, we really want to be asking ourselves if this team could even be competitive in the PL. I wouldn’t want to watch that at this stage.
The answer to the last bit is of course it wouldn't. The chasm between the PL and Championship is huge . We would have to spend massively But that's not the point . It's the here and now and from what I'm seeing things are improving rapidly , we are organised and the players are fully invested in what they're doing. Not only that it's looking like quite a deep squad when everyone is fit.

I remember 9 percent win ratio being banded about constantly by giddy posters
